Hold the lettuce and tomato and it's actually pretty good with bacon, grilled mushrooms, and grilled onions.

I could do the egg on the burger, it just needs to be fried hard. Runny yolk = nasty.

imo, Peeps tend to view docs up there on a pedestal like demi-gods.  They are just peeps like us but with a special skill set.  Honor them for what they know/do by boning up on what you're facing, the options available and pertinent questions and you'll find that the docs will engage you like an intelligent human being rather than a number.  But we, as patients, need to take active roles in our own healthcare by learning and assuming responsibility.  Let's face it ~ nobuddy watches out for #1 like #1.

Good advice.
Over 19 years ago I was diagnosed with Buergers disease & told that "100% of Buergers patients will suffer death within 2-3 years after diagnosis."
Although I have no fear of death itself (not looking forward to the process though) my boy was only 3yo & needed his dad. So I thought 'bugger that' & did a heap of research on vascular disease.

One of the hardest steps in keeping myself in the land of the living was standing up to the specialists who tried to force me to take some awful medications, quite aggressively I might add, where the side effects far outweighed any claimed benefit.
In my favour is the Taurus trait of once someone starts to push hard, the heels get dug in even harder.

Over the last 19 years I've known 12 other Buergers patients who put their faith in their Dr's & followed orders without question. They all died within 3 years after diagnosis.
I've ignored the specialists advice & the disease has not progressed. Sorta speaks for itself really.

The Dr's arrogance is so outstanding, rather than showing the slightest interest in why I've survived (while their other patients drop like flies around them) I'm an embarrassment to them.
For the record; most of my G.P.'s have been really supportive. It's the specialists who are arrogant arseholes.

I don't mind an over easy egg once in a while. I like the occasional runny yolk to dunk some toast in. Can't stand any slimy 'goop' that should be fried white.

I usually go with scrambled, boiled, or omelets though.

[Image: tumblr_lpt6b9SEdl1qz9r2d.gif] Remember, those harpies are all up for election AGAIN in 2020 ~ POTUS will have rope-a-doped them all so badly that their electorate will toss them in the trash like week old fish.

"RIP"? No, evil creatures do not deserve to be at peace. Not until they've admitted their crimes, shown genuine remorse & received their just desserts.
No, the Dark Ones will be awaiting them when they cross the veil into the afterlife. No rest or peace for them ........ not for a long while at least.

Good on ya' @Elric ~ Glad you're beating the disease at its best. [Image: headbangro6.gif] 19 years is a spectacular achievement!

Sounds like you learned what you needed to know and stuck to your guns. Hard thing to do ~ docs can be bullies ~ but glad you've found support from the GP's.
