Why would anyone spread lies about coronovirus?

Coronavirus has reached 24 counties outside of China, with 8 confirmed cases in the UK.  As the disease is spreading so is a lot of information, some of it misleading. The World Health Organisation has warned that "trolls and conspiracy theories" are undermining their response to the virus.  We speak to  Mike Wendling from BBC Trending and Vitaly Shevchenko, Russian Editor at BBC Monitoring, about the theories being circulated.

There are such wildly conflicting stories, it is hard to tell what the hell to think?

I'll bet people were unconcerned at the beginning of the Spanish flu of 1918ish.

But you are right. We should be open-minded to all eventualities, just not so open our brains fall out!

Preparation for these kinds of disruption is always a good idea.

Not foolish fear-mongering ....but wise foresight. Just in case.

Think for yourself

Are they hiding people?

Is this really an economic hit job?

Who stands the most to gain?

Is this a twenty year plan?
