Why do Christians pray to Jesus?
#1
Ever since I was a child, I've never understood why do Christians pray to Jesus, when the Rabbi himself instructed followers to pray to the Almighty?

WE pray to the Almighty God in the Name of Jesus/Yahshua.
Catholics add to that "with the Holy Spirit".

Heavenly Father, please keep President Donald J. Trump and his family safe and protected, along with all the Patriots who are working with him and for him. Protect and Nurture our Nation and help us through these turbulent times. We ask this in the Name of Christ  Amen

In John 10:30, Jesus states, "I and my Father are one."

It would be interesting to know when that 'quote' was first attributed to the Rabbi.
The concept of Trinity was not initially a part of Christian doctrine. It took early churchmen a few hundred years to come up with the idea that Jesus was God.
Up until then, Jesus was considered a teacher & a prophet.

Edited because I was three sheets in the wind when I wrote my first response.

I really can’t explain it other than to say if you want to believe, and ask him to come to you, he will. I sometimes went to church when I was younger but to be honest I really didn’t have faith. Now to say that I have faith is an understatement. I KNOW.
Trust me on this: sometimes he has to wake people up, as in my case. You may have heard the term “stumbling block” if you’ve read any of the Bible, that’s what he’ll do to get your attention. If you accept him, and talk to him, he’ll change your life. He wants you to come to him.
IDK, maybe just it takes some people 50 years to come around.
A lot of people pray but they really don’t have faith. The power is in the faith.
If you really believe and you know Jesus, everything changes.
And of course his name is Christ, you know,....as in Christians.

Kinda sounds crazy doesn’t it?
I can tell you he’s real all year long but some won’t believe until they ask him to come to them.
It’s up to you weather or not you want to find him.

Maybe it makes them feel happy.

Nothing wrong with that. (within reason) Personally never prayed to Jesus.
I see him more as a way shower and teacher.

I Like to think that when I pray it is more a meditation and contemplation of my connection with the source of all that is.
Mostly just wishful thinking.

Cause I really don't know.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

You'll find this written in John 14, the fourth chapter, verse 6.

I pray to god Almighty himself. In Jesus name I add as a tagline, like constructing a proper letter.
I find I Pray to God, and talk with Jesus.
Like God the Father is some busy businessman, and I don't want to interrupt him unnessesarily, but Jesus? He is my bud. In the trenches with me every day, all the time. He is with me, and totally gets me. God does too, but he is creating and renewing the universe at all times, so I like to just love him and let him work. He still hears me.

Like I know anything?
But this is how I relate to God, since you asked.

That's actually a good question, @Elric .
Have been some good answers. (Thinkers).
