where is everyone ?

It's the middle of Summer. Days are longer, people are spending more time outside, and engaged in activities that they don't do in the cold weather. When we're all stuck indoors this winter, this place will be rockin'.

Busy busy busy.

Been here as much as I can be considering it's my busy season.

Late Oct to early Nov things will slow down and I'll be able to spend more than half or an hour here.

On the plus side, it looks like I"m going to have to add quite a few cases of canning jars to the pile considering the Romas and cucumber overload from the garden this year. Been spending what little spare time I've got canning, drying and freezing organic goodness and it looks like a bumper year this year.

Caught those squash bugs early this year so the zuchs and squash plants are still producing instead of dying half way through the growing season. Yay.

It's been busy here too. I had some recert classes at work and I bid on a route.
I did a practice run, and I will probably do another tomorrow. We'll see how the first day of school goes.

The first day of school is Monday. I got the hours I wanted, and the schools are decent.
A college prep school and a small elementary school. Both inner city, but not in bad areas.
Last year one of my routes was in a really bad area with winos and hookers. Almost all the stops where house stops
because it wasn't safe for the kids to wait on the corner for the bus.
I picked another route with special needs students, so I have an attendant with me during the route.
It makes it easier to have an extra adult on the bus.
anyway... I have loads of time in between the morning and afternoon routes and I live 5 minutes away from
the terminal. Plenty of time off school... it's the perfect type of job at my age. I just don't want to spend
my entire day focusing on stuff that doesn't matter to me. I like to be busy, but not a busy worker slave.
