I was partly joking and not directed at you in particular, Steelheader. Modern technology *can* be convenient, but imho, is usually kinda over-rated.

Sometimes it's fun (and educational) just to build a fire in the backyard and make a stew or chili in an old cast iron Dutch Oven - the kind you can put the coals on the top......
I will not go quietly into the night......

Had the usual. Bagel, salad, chips, nuts and bottle of bud lite to cleanse the palate

@Hannah, looks real good ! What kind of fish ?

Frozen Alaska cod, from Trader Joe's. Now, I can't wait to do this with FRESH cod! Usually, we use haddock but TJs was all out.

Well, that sumbitch fried chicken in 20 min.   In fact, it was the best damn fried chicken I ever made.   Jptdknpa

I've read that I could make hard-boiled eggs with it, and after the chicken, I just had to try it for fun.

I'll be damned, it made perfectly cooked eggs in 18 min... with no water.    Shock

WTF kind of witchery is this?     Doomed

I have a neighbor who swears by hers. She posted pics of fried chicken she had made once. It looked delicious. I may save for one.

You should, I've not yet been disappointed.  My son got it for me for Mother's day.  He got me a full set of Graniterock cookware for Christmas and that's really nice too.  Seems like...if it's on an infomercial I'll be getting it as a gift from my son at some point.   Chuckle

I see a pattern here with your son. Heartflowers You must be a good cook cause he wants mama to have the very best for when he comes to visit. Kiss
