We still do this every now and then.  Bit of a pain in the ass but fun and tasty.  Better than a frozen pizza by far.

I tried the Chef Boyardee package.  Not bad.  Pretty close to Geno's.  They may have bought Geno's.  If you want a decent homemade pizza that is not cardboard from the Circle K, get a pizza pack and make your own.  Get some hamburger  (80/20) and onions and peppers if you like that and put them on there for a topping.  Drain the grease and leave just enough fat to give it wonderful flavor.

There is something magic about fixing food for your loved ones.   Especially when that food was made by loving hands.

The great thing about these pizza kits is you can do whatever you want.  Sometimes I use bbq sauce instead of the supplied pizza sauce and pile it high with hamburger, onions and bacon. Sometimes I use alfredo sauce and top it with grilled chicken breast and spinach.

A taco pizza is also one of my favorites.  Use taco sauce for the base and pile on taco meat, onions, jalapenos, tomatoes and lettuce (after it's been cooked)

Sure, you can do all this with a Boboli or other pre-made pizza crusts, but it's not the same.   Might as well just get a frozen cheese pizza and put your toppings on it.

Gotta be careful, you can overload the pizza with toppings and the crust will never get done and firm up.

Why are we even talking about this?   Lmao

I know, but I love all of the goodies and toppings.
