Make french fries with that, wow. Or popcorn. You Almost dont need butter.

For woodturning, I like to use cedar oil for a hand rubbed finish. Natural, non toxic, and the work smells heavenly for years to come.

Cedar oil is lovely.

I like olive oil on salads. I've also worked with almond oil, walnut oil, hazelnut oil, coconut oil, and palm oil.

I particularly like this oil for cooking at this time and I have recommended it to friends.

It's also economical.

There is nothing better than a good walnut oil on your salad!

Yeah3

I also use grape seed oil for cooking, or add some it has a very high burn temperature.

I'm into the Carotina oil for cooking now. As I couldn't get palm oil in our local supermarket after they stopped stocking it. Although I still use olive oil for Italian dishes and on salads.

I use boiled linseed oil a lot in the shop.

I'll bet you Fringelings all smell super.

I have a wide variety of essential oils.

The one that has surprised me the most recently was oil of Oregano... WOW!! I have been bitten by every imaginable insect but mostly spiders.

Mosquitos far outdistance any other bugs of course.

Anyway, I got a nasty spider bite on the back of my neck that had swelled to about a dime-sized welt. I put one drop of undiluted (pure) Oregano oil on it and waited... it really was stinging for about 10 minutes then it stopped.

3 days later it flaked off and was completely healed. You can imagine my pleasant surprise... that stuff is almost magical.

I was expecting 2 weeks or more and the attendant discomfort.

I was so looking forward to a great motor oil debate!

I liked Castrol in my old 2 stroke motocross bikes. Had a distinct smell from the castor bean.

Chuckle

For my skin?

I make a 75% jojoba oil, 25% shea butter with bergamot oil for smell.

My skin looks great for being almost 50.  Wink

When it comes to Motor oil I am a huge Amsoil fan. The stuff really is the best by far. That said there is no way I will run any oil 25,000 miles. I change it once a year with about 10,000 miles on it. The 5W30 I use flows at -58 F which means that on the coldest days we see where I live it flows like it is summer. It is the only PAO group IV base oil on the market now.

No I am not an Amsoil dealer.

First thing that came to mind was hash oil Cheer

I'm wondering how hemp oil as a motor lubricant would compare to your Amsoil? [The U.S. used hemp oil in military aircraft during WWII]

There is a YouTube channel called Project Farm that would do that. I would not be surprised if Hemp oil made a good engine oil as long as it had the right additive package.

We grow hemp for oil to cook with in the south of England. Although it's three times the price of Carotina oil for cooking.

In the UK the brand is "Good Oil", a couple that worked in television started growing the hemp and they've developed an excellent product.
