"Left wing" in South America is VERY different to what "left wing" means in the West.  For instance, in South America, it is the leftists who are pro-gun rights.  The 'right wing' in South America shares much in common with what is considered 'the left' in the West!

In Brazil, CNN has just now opened an outlet, all pro Bolsonaro!  Gee, I wonder why that is?

You are being duped, people.  It has become faaar too easy for the populace to manipulated by simple ideological labels (labels that DO apply in the West, yet do NOT apply the same way in some places like South America.)

What we are seeing is the same old modus operandi of the U.S. Deep State: Meddling in other country's internal affairs and seeking 'regime change'.  It is NO DIFFERENT right now.  If Venuezuela's main export were broccoli you'd NOT be hearing about "Maduro's evil" government, etc, etc, but their main export ISN'T broccoli now is it?  (NOPE! It is OIL!!!)

A LOT of the stuff passing off as "news" coming from Venezuela the past few years has been nothing but fake news.  It is designed to get YOU to support a change of government in Venezuela, or at least to ignore it when one if forced on the country.

Uh, I hate communism, and so I don't support commie stuff, however, how Venezuela has been run for some time - sharing in the wealth of the country's rich oil reserves with the people - has actually worked.  It is their model and has been successful in large degree: Too successful, which is why Chavez was killed and why they want Maduro out, etc.

Brazil's new president, Bolsonaro, is 100% pro Israel and says he "loves Mossad".  A few months ago Netanyahu visited Colombia (the country that wants to start a war with Maduro and then be used as an excuse for Brazil and possible the USA to get sucked into the situation.)  Again: Things have been set up for some time to bring about a change of government in Venezuela.  As usual, the U.S. wants a controlled puppet in place, and that is what is being aimed for.

What about "all the Venezuelans fleeing to neighboring countries because things are so bad in Venezuela"?  Again, partial truths.  Yes, there has been a small number Venezuelans leaving the country, however A LOT of those people are Colombians who initially were taken into Venezuela as refugees not too long ago.  They are the to leave because they are not real Venezuelans.  Sure, the economy in Venezuela has done pretty badly the past while, since it has been targeted and they are too dependent on the price of oil.

Do I support Maduro?  Can't say I'm a fan yet I also have nothing against the guy.  In any event it IS NONE OF MY DAMN BUSINESS what people do in their own country, who they vote for and what they choose.  Unless the Venezuelans are 'crying out for help' to the world - which they are not (except a small group of paid agitators) - Venezuela should be left to run its own affairs.

Don't fall for the same old song and dance.  This is a very fake, manufactured, "revolution".  What the usual suspects DON'T LIKE is that Venezuela is independent and that they have huge oil reserves that ensures that Independence.

Yes!!  Listen to Skycat you will...

I don't agree about any relative sucess of ANY communist regimes though.  Venezuela is a hornet's nest but Much like ARGENTINA was, the same games are being played.

ALWAYS pay deadly serious attention to collapsing nations... STOP LISTENING TO FOX and all the other cointel MSM ... YOU WILL NOT GET ANY REAL TRUTH... Only half truths at best.

Come on people... What kind of watered down milquetoast CT hacks, are we??

Come on fringelings... it is time to get down.

This is an OPPORTUNITY to get clued in to what is really going on.

Communist regimes always collapse, however Venezuela is not communist (I should not have inferred that they are) there are socialist, and a socialist democracy at that.  The fact the some people are trying to paint Maduro as "a dictator" is laughable.  The country has a functioning democracy and if the people vote for socialism (in this instance, primarily for sharing of the oil profits amongst everyone) then so be it.  Even though I don't like socialism, it is not my place to tell them what they should choose.  It is NO-ONE'S business to tell them what they should choose!

Some people might argue that China is a successful communist regime, however they are only successful now because they turned very capitalist in recent decades; yet, China is ruled with iron fist (the central government is not democratic.)  Why isn't the USA trying to "bring democracy" to China?  Venezuela is WAAY more free than China, buut, they have way more oil.  Simple maths, and quite sad when one sees what the actual motives for some things are.

I remember quite well when Joseph Kennedy Jr. and Hugo Chavez's Citgo Oil, you know the one
with the huge sign at Fenway Park.. supplied free heating oil to Boston area residents when
the Bush cartel was pushing oil to 150/bbl...

can't have that now... funny, I don't remember BP or Royal Dutch Shell giving any breaks.
Embargo and Blockade is next..

VIDEO: Venezuelan Protesters TORCH Socialist Party Headquarters — BURN DOWN CHAVEZ STATU

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/01...ez-statue/

The socialist dream in Venezuela is in tatters just like all of the evil socialist regimes before it.
Yet here in America we have a political party that is pushing this evil filth.

What's not to like about a corrupt, pseudo-Marxist failed state? I call shenanigans on the video about Columbia desiring to attack Venezuela. Please research the author - I did. Any attack within Columbia would most probably come from their own brand of Marxists, the FARC or upstart ELN that occupy both countries.
The only invasion is that of starving Venezuelans at the border in search of work and assistance and the resulting strain on the other nations providing the humanitarian needs.

Maduro was Hugo Chavez's hand picked boy. As such his allegiances with Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, and North Korea remain intact. With plans for Iranian ships to sail in their water, Russian nuclear bombers landing on their airstrips and surviving on Chinese loans the threat a desperate Venezuela presents to the US is real.

It's understandable why the US along with many other nations are recognizing Guaido and the hope of a new government for Venezuela over the ongoing disaster that exists.

You are way off the beam on this one. I traveled extensively to Venezuela in the 80's on business. They had a thriving economy and it was a great place to be. They kept the communist(socialists) in check. Castro was always trying to infiltrate Venezuela. When that demon Chavez came into power the outcome was inevitable. Maduro is a damned communist dictator. I weep for my Venezuelan friends, I do not even think of calling them for the danger it may put them in.

I remember MANY posts over at ION from our friend @Ironhide who lived in Venezuela at the time. Now I really wish we had all the threads from ION.

(Nov. 8, 2018) Venezuela's inflation rate just hit 830,000% — and is likely to keep rising : https://www.businessinsider.com/venezuel...on-2018-11

Crime Threats: Venezuela remains one of the world’s most dangerous countries; the notable deterioration in quality of life for Venezuelan citizens over the course of 2017 contributed to a dire situation in which over 73 Venezuelans died a violent death every day. Venezuela had over 26,616 homicides in 2017, a rate of 89 per 100,000 inhabitants. This number is down from OVV’s reported tally of 28,479 homicides in 2016. According to OVV one potential factor for this decline was the regime’s widespread deployment of security forces to counter (and prevent) protest activity....
