Went to Highlander's Midway link and read a few of the reviews. Guess it's hit and miss as to what they feed/function with. Midway says they're good in Win 1300s and customers rave about them in their Kel-Tec KSGs. There was one review complaining about them being "dirty" but that's just the nature of flake powder to begin with.

But after reading a bit and realizing they're using a mix of pellet sizes, Grandma using a single-shot shotty might benefit from the reduced recoil?

I haven't seen those before. I'll have to pick up a couple boxes and try 'em out!

I have a Winchester Model 1912 that was originally chambered for 2-1/2" shells. I've read that you can use 2-3/4" but when I watch videos, they seem to jam a lot. I really love this old shotgun (think WWII trench gun), but I've never shot it. It may run these short shells just fine.

While I was in Korea, I just knew there had to be some Thompsons stashed somewhere after the war. Even hooked up with a guy that made his fortune smuggling Japanese chips and selling them to companies like LG and Daewoo. Heh heh...he was paying me $35/hr to teach his kids "conversational English" on the side. So we finally got to the subject. "Oh you gonna have to deal with these people to find that." As he folded down his pinky finger. Ummm, nevermind.

But all my students knew my hobby and took me down some alley. Walked in and as soon as he saw me, started slamming the iron bars across one wall. They talked and he relaxed. He had an entire wall of Win 97s (exposed hammer WWI trench guns) stashed back there! Easily 75 of them! He let me pull one down and yeah, the finish was worn but racking the slide just to make sure it was unloaded, it was smooooth. Most of the stocks had dings and scratches but I'd still rate them as "good". The real puzzle was that he refused to sell at any price.
