Not sure, yet, how I feel about this personally - other than Trump ran on this and said he would apply this 1995 ruling - I see it as against international law, which Israel is in defiance of...

I will allow anti-Israel discussion, but not anti-Jew nonsense...

Just because Trump moves on what was agreed in 1995, and moves the American embassy to Jerusalem, is appropriate. In fact, UNESCO should have an office in the old city, and Israel should be a world heritage site protected by the world. This isn't just about Jewish people, it's about those that were chosen to protect that ancient site. It's a tiny sliver of land, with so much history, archeological sites everywhere.

Jerusalem has four quarters, two of which are ancient Christian (that includes the Armenian) quarters, one of which is Jewish, and the 4th was taken forcefully by Islam. Muslims have three sites altogether, and their own claim to Jerusalem, is that the man from Saudi went there in a dream. The fact of the matter is, that man from Saudi never stepped foot in Israel. The bible is very clear on it's criteria about the importance of walking upon the land of Israel, the Ezekiel prophecy also foretold when it would happen, after the second passing.

It's time for Muslims to accept the truth.

I have no religion so I won't say I understand in my heart what this means to the Jews, Christians, Muslims or others...

For discussion only and not as a statement of "what should be" I would like to see Jerusalem made an independent place (maybe protected by UN?) in which the Israelis have their Capital in the West and the Palestinians have their Capital in the East...

My understanding is International Law does not recognise Israel as being beyond the 1967 boarders, Israel claims today's boarders and Palestine only accepts 1947 boarders with some not even recognising the 1917 Balfour declaration...

When I think of what @Skyrison predicts will come from this - and he's probably right - I will defend PEOPLE - but Governments, Institutions, Movements, "Churches", Policies and politicians etc are fair game...

Calls to violence, wishes for death etc will (as always) be deleted on sight - keep it up after warning and a ban will eventually follow - I'm hoping we as a community will avoid this and can as usual come to agreement or agree to disagree with each other!

the deep state has controlled many people, but the tides are turning. it's happening all over.  also, the united states itself and our system isn't bad at ALL!  it allows VERY BIG opportunity.  It's the people at the top that make life a living hell.

i understand that.

but the people at the top(money changers) have been the people at the top for a long time. they are the same people who were at the top of every empire going back.
if the 'united states" (talk about an oxymoron) has ever had control of israel it's been the deep state doing so. the people eisenhower and kennedy (to name two) warned us about. the very idea that one nation has control of another by proxy to destabilize an entire region is not something to cheer for IMO.
it's a very troubling precedent.
....although not actually the preedent in this case, as this seems to be a centuries old rinse and repeat.
just cause i live in relative safety in america doesn't make it right for me.

if israel wants to move it's capital why is donald trump doing it?

regardless if anyone thinks it's the right or wrong move in terms of biblical stuff as to the location of the capital....it's questionable to me why anyone who believes in justice would be applauding this kind of development.

sounds like more war.

Trump is not MOVING the Capital of Israel - they have claimed that to be Jerusalem since 1947 and the US has declared acceptance of that since 1995 - Trump is just making the recognition formal and public...

Munchaab, it's important to note that 70% of the people that lived in Gaza were Christians. When I was in Israel, Christian Armenians also said that they lived in the West Bank. Some people think the word "palestinian" = Muslim, it doesn't.
Chiron in Aries, such passion, devotion and dedication, all on purpose. My dad was an Aries - he was persecuted by the same socialists he had spent his life defending: As Jesus said, the only law worthy of humanity is the law that brings freedom.

I know, I lived in Turkey and know the word Muslim = Submitted to God...

They call those who speak or act on behalf as God as "ISLAMISTS" and NOT Muslims...

Turkish people HATE Islamists and Erdoğan (who they see as an Islamist not a Muslim)...

REAL (spiritual) religious people know they have more in common than in conflict...
