I would invite you to read both article and explore the hotlinks within the Antiwar piece.
This is all happening in rapid-fire motion. Yesterday as thousands of anti-Maduro Venezuelans crossed
into Colombia, I believe that is in preparation for a ground invasion they know is coming, it was not a
humanitarian crisis as portrayed by the American media. The Venezuelans were obviously strong, well-fed
and wore the same clothes we buy at malls. They are being allowed to leave before TSHTF.

The official (but not actual) casus belli for the US will be along these lines:
1) Diplomats or other American or "allied" personnel held or under threat or killed
2) Supposed "terrorist" group Hezbollah in Venezuela, likely untrue, except a few drug dealers, however
this means Trump can order military invasion without Congress because, like many other uses of American
military since 2001, it falls under the AUMF.
3) Manufactured "humanitarian crisis"
