Poll: What do you want me to write next?
Keep going with the space bugs.
I want to see zombies eating brains.
Try something else like paranormal. Werewolves and vampires.
Another genre completely. List it in a comment.
Give it a rest you narcissist. You suck as a writer.

I really like the Zombie one too but I just voted new or paranormal. She has a good point (as usual) though.

It is a sell-able story on several formats.

ARM, I am listening to this interview on 20th century science fiction and fantasy from a conservative/politically-right perspective.  It may be one you want to listen to, too, since we're all pretty right or alt-right leaning here, or you may want to consider incorporating this perspective into your fiction...

Lennart Svensson is a Swedish author. Although he began writing exclusively in Swedish, Lennart now writes in English as well. He is the author of numerous books and essays, including Science Fiction Seen from the Right, Redeeming Lucifer, and Borderline: A Traditionalist Outlook for Modern Man.

Lennart joins us to discuss right-wing themes in science fiction. We first consider the fact that contemporary science fiction often comes from a left-wing perspective. Lennart explains that his work, therefore, seeks to remedy this situation. We then explore right-wing themes in a few popular works of science fiction and fantasy, including Starship Troopers, Dune, The Lord of the Rings, and The Hideous Strength. The first hour also touches on relationship between technology and science, with Lennart advocating a spiritualized view of technology as a means to resist lapsing into materialistic nihilism.

Thanks Shakey. It looks interesting.

I'm actually more libertarian than 'right wing'. I just happen to agree with most of the 'conservative' positions but by all means not all of them. I'm strongly pro gay marriage for example where that's not usually a 'conservative' position. I'm also very strongly against the police state that we are rapidly heading towards while both sides of the 'left/right' divide love their authoritarianism.

I can see a need for a government with clearly outlined duties but based on our country's charter (Constitution) that is not where we are right now. I tend towards the founding father's views on things.

I have the results of the last time I took this somewhere on an external hard drive.

I'm generally in the middle between 'left' and 'right' and about half way down from the middle into the 'libertarian' zone. Right about where the A is in the word 'scale'.
