It is nice to come here and feel like a member of the world and not the papers and databases I’ve been scouring, however it is pleasant to also have something to focus on besides the impending unknown.

As a side note, I was accepted to law school this past week, I know some members knew I had applied. My daughters have been healthy for the week and are happily painting, playing, and (I know, I know) watching frozen over and over on Disney plus.

I anticipate the most terrible of lawyer jokes to come my way, please & thanks.

I am content, we are prepared as can be, my children are healthy and happy. I am kept awake only by the coyotes in the back hunting and the fear that my acceptance to law school may be a fruitless accomplishment should society never return to normalcy.

I heard the coyotes catch and kill last night for the first time since moving here, the howls of a dying creature off in the distance are new to me, and felt like a frightful omen. But, I saw a shooting star again last night, which felt hopeful.

@Frigg you promised us boat pictures...  daydream

I have bandwidth issues where I live and I have trouble transferring images.

I will try though, @Karl.

one way or another...  Chuckle

I think @Pure Rock Fury has a couple I sent him on the phone... Maybe.

Or @Mmmkay_Ultra might if I send him some.

Everyone, where I live, has REAL snazzy boats. Even the poor ones! Canoes are the bottom of the totem pole here.

For me personally, it is the ultimate watercraft and fishing machine. We sail tomorrow! the first break in the rain we have had will be tomorrow...85 degrees F. Sunny.

I already got my fishing licence renewed V6sRZf4

I'm thinking chartreuse and black spotted split-back bait.

Minnows? ...not this time. I am more interested in the performance and battery life with the 40 lb thrust but I will take 3 poles and tackle.

When do you start? How long is the course?

I hope you love law school as much as I did. Absolutely lapped it all up!

May I assure you that having a legal training is never fruitless. No matter what comes at us, the way they train you there's always the benefit of having a logical legal mindset to parse all the nonsense and reach a balanced conclusion - on just about everything! We will need more such minds...Then there's the actual legal knowledge which is invaluable in everyday life.
Good luck and have loads of fun!

Keeps getting more insane.

Just saw this article and it almost made me cry. Apparently, the doctor who passed the virus to my SIL (who is still not symptomatic) works for Missouri Cancer Associates. He's been seeing patients in Kirksville, Missouri, and possibly Columbia for the past two weeks since he got back from overseas, possibly exposing hundreds of VERY vulnerable cancer patients. There really is no safe place. No matter how careful WE are, there's no knowing how even the supposedly most responsible other folks are behaving.

Don't know if we've got members in the Kirksville area, but I'm probably not the only one who visits Columbia. I have to go there tomorrow to pick up a piece of medical equipment. I feel like I'm going on safari into the most dangerous jungle in Africa.

Love you all - and keep up that social distancing!!

My phone shit the bed this morning so I had to go to Wal-Mart and buy a new (cheap) one. I keep reading that we have plenty of toilet paper in this country, but they didn't have a sheet at this Wal-Mart or any paper towels. If this continues much longer we're going to have toilet paper riots in Fredericksburg before the food riots start.

Makes no sense cause all the pulp mills hiring extra staff and it's nothing to ramp up production none of them have run full production for a longtime
