about 2mins in my exact poimt.

Not to knock George Carlin, but he was from a time when every school teacher in the USA was screaming about how plastics would last for 1,000's of years.

The truth is, they don't.

And depending on the type of plastic, some don't even last a year without breaking down.

Others become dry and brittle and reduce to dust...even trash bags disintegrate if you fill them with leaves and don't get them to the trash in time.

I remember my teachers in the 80's talking about how the rain forests were almost dead and how in a few decades we'd all be dead too.

So...my point is...people lied for money and people believed their shit through fear propaganda...I bet if Carlin was alive now he'd call them out on their bullshit.

It turns into dust.

Plasma converters.

The heat from plasma converters causes pyrolysis, a process in which organic matter breaks down and decomposes. Plasma torches can operate in airtight vessels. ... The only waste that a plasma converter can't break down is heavy radioactive material, such as the rods used in a nuclear reactor.

From what i hear, it's a self sustaining reaction fueled by garbage, producing a gas usable for fuel, and an ash like substance that can be used in roads and the like.

Making money from garbage.

Start paying people a bit to bring their garbage to plasma converters, burn it off.

Better solution than just throwing it into a hole, or in my countries case.. The ocean.

It could be a job for the homeless bums, gather garbage for a bit of money, cleaning the streets.

We burn it and produce fuel and raw material for roads

Bum gets to buy a 6 pack.

i dont know what devices youre referrimg to, but plastics isnt the only solution. just the cheapest and most polluting.

There are literally thousands and I'm not going to list them all but here is an example. It is an Ambu bag for CPR and saves lives. I do agree with
you on taking a look at plastics but a ban is not practical.

If you think plastic is the biggest issue facing our world today, you're either a liberal eco-moron or you're living a pretty sheltered life.

Pretty harsh don't you think @Kadosh He is new and just brain storming an idea. Facepalm

Harsh by saying how stupid it would be to try to outlaw plastic or by saying he must live a sheltered life? I'm still learning to speak to snowflakes. 1dunno1
