I got a good fire burning here and thinking of a Christmas past when i was stranded in a bush camp from Dec 21 to Jan 05 . I had plenty of food to eat but only 2 books to read, no radio, no communication and not much firewood. It was a rough trip, and some nights were rather miserable. I then had a very nasty bout of bad weather traveling out of there forcing another night in a tent... but in some ways it was also meaningful. That extended stay thought me some important lessons, I learned what i could put up with and it certainly made me realize the importance of friends, family and interaction. Cheers

Dear Santa, while circling the globe, could you be cajoled into opening that magic bag just a crack and let the dust flow freely until the world comes to its senses. Nothing before it's time you say. Wisdom and knowledge that rightfully belong to future generations must wait their appointed time. So be it. OK, just a little dusty dose then. One little worldwide uptick. Not enough to be all wise but just a smidgen, so we are not all as dumb as rocks. It's embarrassing, all this wank about how advanced and lofty we have become. Technologically, we are tits here and have just begun. Yet, I feel parts of the past have outdone us here as well. Funny, how little man himself has changed. Peace and Love the mantra of our milieu. Yet Santa, I look around and the opposite is found. Please Santa, just a pinch, a tiny rail. The Earth and the humanity there upon grow tired and weary of our constant FAIL. Of what harm to relieve us of at least part of our illusion. Make it so old timer, Ho Ho Ho us, I don't want to be perceived as putting the gloom into this Xmas thread. Hey! It could happen. Tis the season for miracles and magic. Upload of some enlightenment, that will make the spirit bright. And I heard him exclaim as he drove out of site, Merry Xmas to all, now don't be so uptight.

Very nice, Guest.

This was sent to me from my old man. Thank Gog he is still kicking. I thought I would share for the fun of it.

No Nativity Scene in Washington, DC this year
The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene on Capitol Hill this Christmas season.

This isn't for any religious reason. They simply have not been able to find Three Wise Men in the Nation's Capital.

A search for a Virgin also continues.

There was no problem, however, finding enough asses to fill the stable
