Around March 1, GLP was inundated with a wave of anti-Trump threads, championed by none other than Trinity. Trin and the mods began to pin and superpin these threads - especially anything having to do with Trump's alleged flip on the Second Amendment - and to shout down any dissenting voices.

Around the same time, hundreds of ACs and many new named accounts or previously dormant accounts appeared that posted anti-Trump and anti-conservative posts in most threads, or simply posted generic insults and character attacks. This was apparent even in the non-ideological threads like Luisport's WWIII thread, of which I was a prominent member for several years. Conservatives on the site began to discuss this sudden wave of "Shareblue" posters.

Later that day, The Comedian posted a thread mocking the turncoats, GLP admins, etc. The content is roughly as follows:

"Remember when President Trump invited the Democrats in for a live streaming meeting on DACA?
Remember when he said "Whatever you put in front of me, I'll sign"?
Remember all the womanly screeching that resulted from the wimps and weaklings of how "Trump caved!" and "Trump gave them amnesty!"?

Remember that?
Remember what happened when it actually came time for the Democrats and RINOs to craft a bill and get it to the President's desk?
Remember how that didn't happen because Trump trolled the shit out of them and he knew they'd fail?

He basically said "You can have anything you want.  Amnesty, whatever.  All you have to do is cross the room with this pickle up your ass, and I'll sign it.  But if you drop the pickle, you have to eat it.'

Remember how they all had to eat that pickle?
Remember how all the wimps and anti-Trump weaklings forgot about this little humiliation?

That's what he's doing with this "gun control" spasm they're all having.
"Cross the room with this pickle up your ass, and I'll sign your gun control fantasy, Diane".

They're about to eat another pickle.
#picklefucked "

Obviously, this didn't go over well. This and a couple of similar thread became a "battleground" between Shareblue shills and GLP admins on the one hand, and a group of us led, for lack of a better word, by The Comedian on the other.

On March 3, The Comedian posted a thread analyzing the wave of propaganda on GLP and explaining how shills and "managed persona" accounts were orchestrating a concerted attack on the site. He then began to identify shills and managed persona accounts in real time. After 5 pages of this, Trinity stepped in and personally banned him, deleted his account, and wiped his presence from GLP. In The Comedian's own words:

"I started a thread that described, in detail, the major types of disingenuous online personalities:
The paid troll
The unpaid troll
The sock master
The sock/managed persona.

I described these in some detail and how to spot #4 in particular.

Boom, thread deleted, me and every ally banned.
GLP is a sock factory which develops and sells managed persona data and persona management services."

https://the-fringe.com/thread-the_truth_...#pid295341

As he says, shortly after he was banned Trinity and the mod team (in particular, Deplorable Jackson) began to hunt down and ban every prominent supporter of The Comedian. Several "ban threads" were started by users who questioned what had happened - anyone who even remotely defended The Comedian was instantly banned. I read most of these threads and groups of ACs were targeting specific users and demanding they be banned. Some users were banned as a result - others, like me, escaped.

The bans continued on the next day. Trin went totally off the rails and began to ban anyone who he simply didn't like. Sassy Trumpette is a pretty prominent case that I saw personally:

[Image: Screen_Shot_2018-03-04_at_11.36.48_PM.png]

During this "purge", a pretty large number of paid and unpaided members of GLP voluntarily left the site. Some of them were retroactively banned, like Truth Serum. Others voluntarily left but weren't "detected", and so still have access. All in all, I estimate that maybe 10-15 accounts were banned while anything from 20-40 prominent named accounts voluntarily left. Those numbers are pretty rough - they might be on the low side.

So that's basically what happened.  popnana

UPDATE: On 3/13, Trinity posted a self-congratulatory thread on the bans. His comments are suggestive...

Second series: https://the-fringe.com/thread-the_pickle...#pid299020
Third series: https://the-fringe.com/thread-the_pickle...#pid299162
Fourth series: https://the-fringe.com/thread-the_pickle...#pid299187

UPDATE 2: On 3/14, an incomplete "Proscription List" of banned individuals was published on Trin's thread:

https://the-fringe.com/thread-the_glp_pi...#pid301223

UPDATE 3: In the week since the purge, 118 GLPers have come over to The Fringe: https://the-fringe.com/thread-glpers_che...#pid303550

UPDATE 4: NobleSix has provided a well-written summation of the purge's import:

(03-13-2018, 08:10 PM)NobleSix Wrote: I've no words for this action that was taken. I was sick during the time of the Pickle Purge of 18'. I learned about it today and saw all the aftermath. Brutal. I read words like "cult", "back-talking faggots", "political zealots", "shills", "trolls", and the clincher "forum ideology".

As far as I know, I have not been banned. Zero hits my way, but that being said, I can being placed under observation. The level of Orwellian Two Minutes Hate that appeared to be unleashed on the "banned" was unlike anything I have ever seen. The level of cruelty was beyond both fascinating and the pale. Speaking one's mind should not be met with this level of condemnation, but it was. The political tones on the forum was reaching levels that could not be contained on both sides because one voice perceived itself to be larger and greater than the others by virtue of being the founder. Responses were given and none of it was received well. Talk about the lines being drawn in the cyber-sandbox and being crossed. To me, this was ridiculous. The consequences could not have been so underestimated by the prosecution, in my view.

There was no need for this. I've seen threads that went far and in excess over there. Racial lines, gender, lines, political lines, even personal ones have been taken to the extreme over there and yet, reprimand did not come so swift and relentless as this. Agenda. It's damn dangerous to play with it in order to keep the masses in line. I reckon when the Challenger speaks to the Director and the talk's heavy, the Director cannot be bargained with. There is only one way that can prevail. A damn shame in my book. Freedom is never truly free when levels of oppression are made manifest like this and then the cowardly acts of character assassinations runs rampant like a bad case of ass rotten diarrhea. This will continue on until it burns itself out like a virus, but of this one thing I do know for certain. War has been declared. Just when the smoke looks to settle, I can see this is only just the beginning. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

This event, The Pickle Purge of 2018 has caused many to question over there. There is a change happening and it will not be so pleasant based on my observations. People are being cool and asking questions that are not getting answered. Sides have been chosen or are in the process of being chosen. There is more than enough discontent and hate in the real world going around line a contagion and now the "garden must grow" bit runs in my head and got me thinking about a pre-planned action that could not have taken place without "legitimacy" of action to conduct the pruning. I'm thinking and seeing things and none of what I am seeing looks pleasant.

People who have been gone due to sickness and the like (e.g., yours truly) are asking "WTF!?!" Something's about to happen. A response a certain "founder" isn't going to like much. I'd add more, but I need to confirm my suspicions before I take it there. Til' then, stay frosty.

Nothing is coincidental in what happened. Nothing was by chance. Design comes to my mind.

Semper Fidelis. N6 Out.

I forgot to add an important observation from the professional end, The Pickle Purge 18' is pure psywar ops. Hearts and Minds. A rose by any other name...

(03-16-2018, 01:53 PM)NobleSix Wrote: It could simply have been more than what the owner had anticipated when he went too far in his pov on POTUS that triggered this shitshow to go the way it did. I wasn't online when PP'18 went down, but I sure as hell viewed the aftermath. To me, this looks an awful like vendetta, a counterstrike. All unilaterally made. By design to prevent what appeared to be a very popular no-nonsense uprising. This could not be allowed to gain further traction. To let that happen would've spelled massive power shift away from the owner and the moderators. Yet, it wasn't power that was being sought, but rather the dominance of free speech & expression. This could've culminated in the owner sending out pm's to his mods on all impending actions and thus the cyber-cullings began in earnest. Mind you all, this my theory of the actions taken, ZERO PROOF! There would've been some form of debate between the owner and moderators that may have lead to a stalemate or insurrection of sorts, at the very least, questioning the legitimacy of the unilateral action from the get-go and the owner made certain points clear to the mods, but of course, the owner had strong backing from a couple mods without argument. This perhaps lead everything into the direction it went without challenge.

The necessary ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) was gathered via observation and potential violations of privacy (think on that one) and the lists were drafted up. Once that was all accomplished, the hunt began in earnest, methodically. The HVTs (High Value Targets) got kaboshed, then all that was left to do was to catch the stragglers and potential populist supports and run them out too. Voila! You have the Pickle Purge of 2018. If political correctness was of high value, then it should've been stated in the site mission and conditions page.

Anyway, that's how I see it through my lens. Again, for the record this is all games and theory on my end. To my most extreme outlook, this was not just a simple purge, but rather ELINT overall and that would lead to the much larger question at hand, just who was the owner really working for? Where did the information really go to? There are some here who are or have thought about this very thing. Looking at a potential bigger picture.

No fear-mongering here. All theoretical and logical from me. That's my take.

Stay frosty.

Yup.

I've been kicking myself for not taking screenshots of the "ban threads". Some choice words were said in those.

Yes dear and it was a lie. I only attacked the AC hating shills who were attacking Comedian ( in his absence) and Me. I admit I did enjoy those skirmishes.

Next day after that call out thread about Comedian there was a thread posted by those nasty ac's stating "We got Comedian banned now it's Sassy Trumpettes turn" and voila several hours later I was banned.

Got back on a day ago and was banned immediately again once they realized it was me.

I'm so proud. Chuckle

Edited for clarity and grammar.

Another classic case of shitting in his own mess kit.

We won't treat you like that here.

I used to really like him too. Some of the old mods I miss too.. A few are here... Lol.

At least he didn't make a list. When we all got banned in the Superbowl purge, it was crazy.
He was pissed and made a list of all of us. There very more that 50 on there.

Fun times.
