Fence :p

To this day, she still calls any flavor of soda 'coke' and she's never once used the word 'pop' for soft drinks lol.

Lmao  Lmao  Lmao

I lived in Ottawa, Ontario for a year in 1980 and never saw a policeman and I had a great time.

Lots of drinking in Canada that seems to be a tradition, I thought if I stay here I'll turn into  an alcoholic, Pre-dinner drinks, wine with the meal, then after dinner drink, oh and I forgot the Dram Buie or any liqueur right after the meal, then more drinks. Oh and other times that strong beer they have.  Chuckle

Of course one doesn't have to drink but I was having a good time and was young and on an adventure.
If it hadn't been for the bloody marys I'd never have been able to get the escargot down. Ugg. I can still feel the texture of those things in my mouth.

But the people were wonderful. I loved the people in Ottawa. They welcomed me with open arms and reminded me everyday about my southern accent and would ask me questions all the time to hear me talk. They loved teasing me about my saying "do what?" or cement. They thought it was hilarious that I was a speech pathologist and teaching kids there southern. Awww yes lots of fun.

Heartflowers

apparently cement is pronounced cament  instead of seeeeeeement. LOL

Well, the reason I ask is because a few years back, I was camping with a friend and every provincial park we went to with campsites had a rule that you couldn't build a fire. It wasn't due to weather conditions -- this was the standard rule at the campsites. That's great if you're in an RV or something, but we were tent camping with little more than basic essentials. Also, this was right after Labor Day and we arrived at one site very late at night, just got the camp set up, and the OPP came over and said we had to move everything (in the dark) because they were closing that section of the park for the season. We had just driven 9 hours to get there. I told the OPP that if they wanted us to move, they would have to help us. I was tired and cranky.  Chuckle

Did he help you?

I've heard that. I bet Steelie can answer that, which is why you probably asked him.  Chuckle

Yes, I'd say there's still a bit of southern there. Heartflowers

Very nice!

I commented on your video that I recognized the countryside but I may be wrong.  I thought you started out where 30 hits 31, but I'm reconsidering, LOL.  Most of my journeys through Nebraska have been on/around U.S. 30,  but that's getting to be a tough journey any more. But I hate the interstates, so I spend a lot of time creeping around on what have now become back roads.

Love the tune, too.

Thank you! Heartflowers

You have an excellent eye and a good memory :)

When the video starts out, I am sitting at the intersection of 31 and 36, or roughly just two miles from where you first thought. That's pretty amazing :)

Yeah I don't care for the interstates or busy highways either. I love riding the back roads...so much more to see and way more relaxing lol. Thank you my friend!

Of course he did! That's what Canadians do. Wink

It was funny because he picked up the already assembled tent and put it on his truck, with firewood and such, and actually picked out a pretty good location to set up again.

Bonus surprise in the morning: snow. Scream1

Give me a call some time next week around Monday or Tuesday evening and we'll shoot the shit man.

Cheers brother   Heartflowers

I thought of something before I call...do you speak English?

Chuckle

We might have to postpone the phone call, I have a serious tooth ache that is affecting the entire left side of my mouth. That's why I haven't been online in a couple days. The pain is so bad that I have a cloth/rag wrapped around my forehead how much it hurts. It hurts from the entire left side of the mouth up to the head. The only thing that relieves the pain even just a tiny bit is when I swoosh a little bit of whisky in my mouth. I'm going to try and make an appointment for the dentist sometime this week.

Damn, that's not good, I hope you get feeling better quick. Some Tylenol may help dull the pain.

Yeah we'll chat someday, I'm looking forward to it, but there's no rush. Go take care of yourself and let me know when you're 100% again.

Good luck my friend!

Were you able to make an appointment? Feeling any better today?
