so when we see the homes vaporized
from the fire we know then
the electricity was cut and
that did not start the blazes...right

what energy is being allowed to run the air conditioners?
is the power still off in those areas?

Off and on for several days. Anything in the fridge or freezer is gone without a generator.

PG&E was a client. The company is full of greedy, ugly fucks. I resigned the account when all the BS came out about "flipped drawings" and buildings being built backward in their, then new, Nuke Plant. Didn't want the karma. Bad, bad people.

COAST A-PLANT CONSTRUCTION ERROR TIED TO MISSING GUIDE TO BLUEPRINT
By JUDITH CUMMINGS and SPECIAL TO THE NEW YORK TIMESOCT. 2, 1981

The mix-up that caused the improper placement of supports designed to protect the cooling systems of the two Diablo Canyon nuclear reactors from earthquakes occurred because a single, transparent blueprint was prepared for both, and someone failed to attach instructions to flip it over.
The Pacific Gas and Electric Company disclosed today that the plans for installation of mandatory seismic safety supports in its twin reactors were depicted on a single transparency that was supposed to have carried instructions to read one side for one reactor and the other side for the second.
The investigation of the construction blunder is part of an inquiry by the Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission into design errors in the earthquake-safeguard systems at the plant. The plant has been the subject of demonstrations concerning its safety because it is near an undersea fault at San Luis Obispo, Calif. The company alerted the authorities about the errors last Monday.
George Sarkisian, a company spokesman, said that John B. Hoch, director of n uclear projects at Pacific Gas, reported today the existence of the single blueprint. Yesterday, at a briefing of regulatory co mmission officials in Washington, the company indicated that there we re separate blueprints for the reactors, one completed, the second un der construction, and that the plans had been inadvertently switched. Key Explanation Missing
''The instructions did not explain,'' Mr. Sarkisian said, referring to the blueprint, ''that for the right side was Unit Two, and to get it right for Unit One you had to flip it over.''

North of SF, no AC for many..PG&E cut all power to locations they deem a fire danger. No generator, no power in the heat.

https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2019/0...ger-areas/

That's ridiculous.  If they had a proactive maintenance program including tree trimming this wouldn't be necessary.   I suppose the idea of trimming trees is somehow evil in California.

They've been doing lots of tree "trimming" (often unnecessary tree
destruction) in my locale (east of SF) for months now though we too
are still under threat of brownout (none yet so far).

It's hot on your side of the tunnel. No fog relief.
