San Francisco hotter than Vegas as it shatters high temp record amid extreme heat wave
Posted June 11 2019

Record high temperatures have been shattered in the West to start this week, and more records will fall along portions of the Pacific coast into the middle of this week.

San Francisco was among the cities to shatter a record high the past couple of days as the temperature throttled to 92 F on Sunday and up to the triple-digit mark Monday.

"Temperatures in San Francisco reached 100 F on Monday, which was 3 degrees higher than the maximum temperature at Las Vegas and equaled the high at Sacramento, California," according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski. Monday's high beat the old daily record of 94 set back in 1994.

North of SF, no AC for many..PG&E cut all power to locations they deem a fire danger. No generator, no power in the heat.

That's ridiculous. If they had a proactive maintenance program including tree trimming this wouldn't be necessary. I suppose the idea of trimming trees is somehow evil in California.

Well, here's what I know..PG&E is responsible for tree trimming among their power line right of ways. In the mountains, they cut a lot of trees every year. Their unbucked cuts are a source of fire wood for many.
I don't know that they do a respectable job of it as, they've lost several law suits, stemming from local fires, recently.

Jerry Brown, the most recent past Gov, spent all the fire road maintaince money, for years, on HIS doomed train project. Voters were against it, he did it against the public mandate. Also, the environmentalists don't want any trees cut in Cal forests.

I could go on but, i'm sure you get the picture..fuktardism.
