With people around the world stepping up and protesting, it would think controlling governments would be getting nervous. Iraq has been in turmoil https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2019/11/p...30021.html  calling for a new government. Seems people are waking up and trying to take their country back. I say take note Americans how the governments are reacting and how far they will go to shut-down the protestors.

About ten years ago I used to chat on Yahoo Messenger with an Iranian woman who was using a proxy to be able to contact people outside of Iran. She told me that her and her husband dreamed of being able to escape to the west to live a life free of Islam. She would talk of how much better things were under the Shah and how radical Islam had destroyed her life.

There are a lot of Iranians who want freedom and not Islam.

This is so sad.

I was wondering yesterday what percentage of Iranians are Muslims.
According to Wiki, "Iran's population is about 82,000,000 people,[2]
and Islam is the religion of 99.4% of Iranians."

I find this very difficult to believe and suspect these are numbers
given out by the state i.e. manufactured. I believe many Iranians must
be Muslims in name only i.e. under duress.

It's that way with a lot of extremist religions. Coming out as not Muslim in an Islamic nation is the same as wearing a sign on your back that says "Slice my head off".
Islam is right about LGBT.  Scratchinghead
