It's her number 10 donor.

Nashville-based prison operator CoreCivic: Facilities don't house separated immigrant children

Nashville-based CoreCivic, the nation's largest owner and operator of private prisons —  including eight immigration detention centers — on Wednesday issued a statement saying none of the company's facilities house children who are not under the supervision of a parent.

The publicly-traded company's statement comes after weeks of controversy over the separation of immigrant families illegally crossing the nation's southern border, and less than two hours before the Trump Administration announced plans to end the practice.

More than 2,000 children have been detained separately from their parents under Trump's implementation of a zero tolerance policy that refers all border crossings for federal criminal prosecution.

Fact check: What's really going on with immigrant children being detained at the border?

"CoreCivic cares deeply about every person in our care," a statement posted on the company's website said. "None of our facilities provides housing for children who aren’t under the supervision of a parent."...

$16,000 to fill up 8 detention centers is great return on investment!

Then there IS this to consider.^^^^^^^^^^
I like your ideas on more judges but I agree with others that the laws we DO have need some teeth.
Catch and release isn't working wither. I agree taking the piss on the cartels would help immensely.

I searched to see if she had political donations from the private prison industry; didn't find any.

But it's a waste of money.

We already support them for 1-6 months. And the little shits just come back the very next day...because there are no major consequences.

What she is proposing is a determent to their 'fk America they don't do anything but deport us anyway' mindset.  We are fingerprinting and DNA storing their happy asses so that if they attempt to come back illegally, or by legal means, their previous action WILL adversely effect their immigration.  I know we have enough criminals.  Which is why I suggested that we bill their countries of origin and reduce their countries foreign relief funding.  Our tax payers need the money for our own citizens.  I emailed that to her office.

I've lived in AZ, CA and now I'm in TX...border states have been hit the hardest for 40+ years.
I'm pretty tired of it.

Anyway, she is putting forth an effort to do something to fix this...I believe that is what we all want from our reps...right?

Not reactionary crap that sounds good but won't work.

"We have to do something even if it's wrong" is bad enough as a democrat mantra.

So what's your idea?

Needs to happen yesterday. Even that may not be anything until there is a wall, given the vast number of radical leftist judges on the bench.

Same here. I've lived in AZ and CA, not Texas. We citizens in the aforementioned states have been hammered for 4 decades with illegals and it has got to stop. It needs to be stopped through legal means via our Representatives and The Executive branch of government.

Rockon

They're entering the country illegally. That should be a felony, not an entryway to drop a baby then get set up for life with free shit from the democrats who need their votes.
