Mrs. Sparks is a germa-phobe.  She has a fit if I leave a 3M dish scrubber on the sink in the kitchen.  The kind with a green scrubby backing and a yellow sponge on the other side.  I always put soap on it so there cannot be any bacteria.  She freaks out and puts them in the dishwasher.  So to combat this I bought a huge aka yuge supply of these.  A giant 36 pack.  Every time it is in the dishwasher and I want one, I open a new one.  She goes wild!  We also have problems with which direction the toilet paper is supposed to come off the roll.  But we are working on these issues and have a unilateral treaty so there are no hostilities.  These have been a subject of debate for 10 years.

Is TP supposed to roll downward from the top of the roll or upward from the bottom. That is the question that baffles mankind. And the sexes.

It was easier when we used Sear Roebuck catalogs and corn cobs to wipe our butts. I remember that in an out-house.l

Butt, I appreciate Charmin. The other stuff is rude....ouch.....

You're a special case, WSH.   Chuckle

They're really hyped & expensive thermal cups ~ they do keep things hot/cold for a good while.  I got those and a couple of other makes, similar styles.  If ya' want anything to keep drinkable in south Georgia, ya' gotta' use 'em.

Yeah

Yeah... the cups and their coolers are over priced but damned if they don't perform like they are advertised.  Probably the top tier, if not the best, coolers available.  That trickles down to their tumblers and mugs.  You can't go wrong with Yeti if you can afford it.

Otter Box, who makes a fine phone case, also has coolers now.  I would like to try one of them out and see how they compare to Yeti.

As far as coolers go, I got one of those stainless steel Coleman's years ago and it'll keep ice/food cold on a camping trip damn near the whole week. I won't be buying a replacement soon. But, yeah, the thermal cups are a major summer necessity. The ol' lady uses them for her morning coffee on her way to work, year around.

When I do, I find nothing remarkable beneith it. I put pretty hot black coffee in it and seal the mug during any traveling from the pot to where I'm working. I often put the lid on the mug to keep the coffee hot. I would imagine the high temp liquid kills anything that might try to grow beneith the O-Ring.

Got me. No trouble so far. Wash your stuff and that should solve any bio issues.

My mug looks like this..

I thought on that, too.

The dude in the video drank coffee, shakes & smoothies out of his. The dairy stuff might have spawned the bacteria colonies? 1dunno1

Hot black coffee is pretty simple and bacteria from your mouth isn't gonna' wind up beneath the O-ring.

In OUR house, if TP is run over the top, CATS will unwind it as they “play” all day long!

But as far as Yeti, weren't they anti-2nd Amendment just like Dicks?

IIRC, Yeti said they were just discontinuing an old discount program and replacing it with a new one, and the NRA got bent out of shape and started posting they were anti-2nd amendment because of it. 1dunno1

My thermal cup is a Bubba and made in China. I love my Bubba!

But I will check it's rubber seal thingy and clean it better from now on.

Having a cold drink stay cold all day is fantastic in the tropics.
