Due to weather aggro  and family health circumstances I'm far behind in this thread and the rest of the board. I've been averaging 100 pages a day for the last few days on the Q thread and am now on page 2417. I expect to be caught up in a couple more days. This thread is a serious addiction. When the swamp is drained and Q is no longer needed there are going to be millions of Q warriors needing therapy.

Once the swamp is drained and were done celebrating then it's space force time and disclosure on that.
I think once the arrests start to happen the pace will not dwindle. Get rid of the evil and flourish with other way far out stuff ( Space Force)

Libertarian roots...the reason I left the libertarian party was their leaderships desire for open borders.

Rand is wrong on this.  This is the one thing our fed gov should interfere in.

A stronger border stance decades ago would have had our country in a better place today.

Yeah, he is. But he's also well aware of why he is wrong plus he's aligning himself with RINO traitors on a vote that will be long remembered.

The only reason a politician with integrity (as he has) normally does this, is survival.

So how come he's going out on a limb on this? (I'm not close enough to US politics to know his base is why I ask. It makes no sense to me.)

I've defended and argued for Rand Paul, on this forum and on other forums.  I stood with him as he stood by our president on many issues.

My hopes for people like Rand Paul was that President Trump would be their shield and sword who would take the control the establishment has held for decades and give it back to the people.  So people like Rand can run for president and actually win.

But this stance, if indeed it is his stance, is not the flag he needs to be hoisting.  The border battle is much bigger than him, it involves our entire Nation and all of our citizens.  We have been affected by criminals, drugs, trafficking and gangs.  For him to stand against this, KNOWING full well that congress has been a dud on this issue, is wrong of him.

I am writing him today. I would like a straight answer as to why he announced this.  If he is looking for a battle with the majority that demands a protected border from our elected congressmen, he will certainly find that fight if he stands with rinos and dems on this issue.

I did write, and the office was very prompt in response (unlike Murkowski's) and this is what the reply was:

I hate to click 'like' on some of these posts. It's not that I 'like' this one, rather, KUDOS to any posters for bringing an important piece of news.

I'm sorry to see him go. I have always thought he was one of the good ones. I recall POTUS saying something like, "good people get really worn down in this administration" and I'm suspecting this is the case with Dr. Carson.
