SAUCER-SHAPED 'SPACE LIGHTNING': For years, Frankie Lucena of Puerto Rico has been monitoring the skies above thunderstorms in the Caribbean. His cameras frequently capture images of exotic 'space lightning'--strange forms that lance upward from the electrical tempest below. Most often he sees sprites; occasionally he catches a gigantic jet. On Aug. 6th he photographed one of the rarest forms of all, the elusive ELVE:

"This ELVE appeared over a storm just south of Puerto Rico at 3:47am local time," says Lucena. "It is, essentially, a donut of red light 300 to 400 km wide."

First seen by cameras on the space shuttle in 1990, ELVEs appear when a pulse of electromagnetic radiation from cloud-to-ground lightning propagates up toward space and hits the base of Earth's ionosphere. A faint ring of deep-red light marks the 'spot' where the EMP hits.

"For this to happen, the lightning needs to be very strong--typically 150-350 kilo-Ampères," says Oscar van der Velde, a member of the Lightning Research Group at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. "For comparison, normal cloud-to-ground flashes only reach 10-30 kA."

ELVEs are elusive--and that's an understatement. Blinking in and out of existence in only 1/1000th of a second, they are completely invisible to the human eye. For comparison, red sprites tend to last for hundredths of a second and regular lightning can scintillate for a second or more. Their brevity explains why ELVEs are a more recent discovery than other lightning-related phenomenon.

An electromagnetic pulse (EMP), also sometimes called a transient electromagnetic disturbance, is a short burst of electromagnetic energy. Such a pulse's origin may be a natural occurrence or man-made and can occur as a radiated, electric, or magnetic field or a conducted electric current, depending on the source.

Different types of EMP arise from natural, man-made, and weapons effects.

Types of natural EMP event includes:

Lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP). The discharge is typically an initial huge current flow, at least mega-amps, followed by a train of pulses of decreasing energy.

Electrostatic discharge (ESD), as a result of two charged objects coming into close proximity or even contact.

Meteoric EMP. The discharge of electromagnetic energy resulting from either the impact of a meteoroid with a spacecraft or the explosive breakup of a meteoroid passing through the Earth's atmosphere.

Coronal mass ejection (CME). A burst of plasmaand accompanying magnetic field, ejected from the solar corona and released into the solar wind. Sometimes referred to as a Solar EMP.

Types of (civil) man-made EMP event include:

Switching action of electrical circuitry, whether isolated or repetitive (as a pulse train).

Electric motors can create a train of pulses as the internal electrical contacts make and break connections as the armature rotates.

Gasoline engine ignition systems can create a train of pulses as the spark plugs are energized or fired.

Continual switching actions of digital electronic circuitry.

Power line surges. These can be up to several kilovolts, enough to damage electronic equipment that is insufficiently protected.

Types of military EMP include:

Nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP), as a result of a nuclear explosion. A variant of this is the high altitude nuclear EMP (HEMP), which produces a secondary pulse due to particle interactions with the Earth's atmosphere and magnetic field.

Non-nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NNEMP) weapons.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_pulse

"At a high voltage level an EMP can induce a spark, for example from an electrostatic discharge when fuelling a gasoline-engined vehicle. Such sparks have been known to cause fuel-air explosions and precautions must be taken to prevent them."

"During testing of a liquid jet engine an explosion and combustion of the product occurred," the ministry said in a statement."

I don't have to ask you how you know because I know, it's kinda obvious and I read something yesterday that contained a [C], it caught my attention but I read a lot, so I'm having difficulties finding it  Wink

supposedly Epstein didn't have anything to hang himself with or hang himself from, but they said it was cardiac arrest and this comes to mind...

these came from a FB post I came across August 5, the screenshot of before and after the shooting caught my attention, but there weren't any timestamps to work with...

this is me just thinking  Wink

Epstein already tried to kill himself once, everyone knew he was a sitting duck and considering it's such a high profile case, switching him out makes sense, especially if Jeffrey was naming names...

I bet that would piss some folks off lol

"Marine mammals can become stranded for a variety of reasons, from environmental factors, such as rough weather, to sickness. One of the most interesting theories about whale strandings argues that solar storms, bright bursts of electromagnetic energy from the Sun, could be messing with the animals' internal compasses."
