Maid, 26, tied to tree as punishment for leaving furniture outside in the sun
Shocking images show the woman tied by her wrists and legs to a tree in the family’s garden in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A Filipino maid was cruelly tied to a tree by a Middle Eastern family as punishment for leaving furniture outside in the sun, according to reports.
The woman, named Lovely Acosta, 26, had been working for a wealthy family in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for several months.

She is said to have angered her employers after leaving a piece of expensive furniture outside in the scorching heat, where it risked being faded by the sun.
A colleague, also from the Philippines, took pictures of the alleged punishment in a bid to expose the family's cruel work practices.
The shocking images showed the maid tied by her wrists and legs to a tree in the family’s garden on May 9.

Oddly though, this is somewhat a case of "the punishment fits...". At any rate, she'll think twice before doing it again.

How many indoor tours has anyone taken and forewarned, "no flash photography"?

UV light isn't good for people and things. So, they stake her to a tree where she'll get lots?

Most camera flash units have anti UV coatings on the flash tubes. This has been common for years.

BUT, it's very important not to use a camera flash (as in a close-up) with young children.  The ASC and most unions limit exposure to Cine lights to 30 second periods, with children. HMI lighting is likely the worst.

If doing a family portrait, stay back 6 ft or so from the group when using flash. When photographing kids, window light is best until they're 5-6 years old. The light can damage young eyes.

Large HMI Lamp, common in Cine work.

I was married to a woman I wanted to tie to a tree. It was easier to divorce her and pay the bill. Chuckle

No, it's a simple Arc Lamp. No power to it and, it's just metal, gas, and glass... And some plastic.
