Classical music is timeless... True mastery of tone vibration patterns harmonies and harmonics etc..

AND bands such as Led Zep, The Doors, CCR, Elvis, Cream etc. etc. ...................... & crap like disco & rap crap will be cast into the 'forgotten for forever' bin where it belongs.

No. No. No noooooooooooooo..

Some of the disco crap was beyond cool..

And rap done well is brilliant.

Facepalm

Look, I can think of one disco song that's got a catchy tune.
I remember groaning when in 6th grade, my boy got into Eminem.
Upon listening to him though, I found that his music wasn't as bad as I imagined & even liked a song or two.

But that's entirely beside the point. Entirely.
Imagine in 100, 200 or 300 years time. If let's say a music teacher or student reads that there was actually a disco song that wasn't too bad, then that runs the risk of them opening the vault in search of other imagined gems. Then the cat is out of the bag, where it would be the new fad for several months.

Do you think it fair to unleash that misery upon our future descendants just for the sake of one or two songs?
Or even worse, have rap crap polluting the airwaves again? Or that techno shit that has no tune?

No, I could not inflict that kind of assault on my fellow man in good conscience. It would be too cruel.
So for humanities sake, it's best to turn a blind eye to those few songs, have history think that it was locked away for good reason & cast the lot into the deep depths where it belongs, never to haunt mankind ever again.

@Elvis , you're a cruel man. You tricked me into hearing 25 seconds of that ... that ..... noise. Ham
That disco song epitomises everything that's wrong with disco.

I  can't even bring myself to click on your rap example. I shudder to think.
I'm traumatised enough for one day.  Scream1

If we survive, some of them will care.
Just like I watch time team, and try to imagine the lives that went before, as they dig scraps and shards out of the earth.
Who did you love? Were you very happy? Oh, they say you were sick, and had a humongous toothache you died from. Dang, we could have helped.
Then I feel deep compassion, and a tinge of sadness.

Maybe all the plastic from our dig will seal us in a plastic layer, like a giant ziplock. That is how they will know it's our time.

I also think about..what if it is not humans digging us in 10000 years, but maybe evolved octopoda. Could you just imagine the bewilderment? And the fascination with hygene products?

Or aliens? Yo €£¥~дф, check this out! WTF!? Lol
