Only if I had a window to throw it out of.

Promises are like a pail of piss in the middle of the living room floor.

They both need somebody to carry them out!

In medieval London, people did not have indoor plumbing. It was common to use a chamber pot as an indoor toilet. The chamber pot could then be dumped out a window into the street gutter below. A person who did not have a "pot to piss in" was poor indeed.

In medieval times the word "piss" was not considered at all vulgar. It was not until Victorian England that words such as piss were deemed vulgar. Even today phrases like "pot to piss in" and "Full of Piss and Vinegar" are somehow considered to be generally acceptable and only moderately crude.

Chamber pots or substitues for indoor plumbing are still used the some Amish and other people today.

Woke up this morning in the middle of the woods in my camper.
Opened my eyes after a night of full revelry and jamming on a old drum that I have not played in over a year.
And saw the beauty of a lush hardwood forest.
Felt a chill.
Turned on the heat.
Looked around, started thinking about bills and shit.
And the thought came out of nowhere.
Shit.. I don't have a pot to piss in!
Yet....
There were several pots on the stove right in front of me...
And I never for a second thought about pissing in one.

So poor you didn't have a pot to piss in so you couldn't even sell your piss to the tanners.

I have done extensive alcohol research and come to the conclusion that I am semi allergic to it in copious quantities. That being said, careful metering of intake prevents adverse results the next morning.

If a dog never pisses or shits where they eat an/or sleep, why would I?

That said, many people who first start out on their own do not have even one pot to piss in, so if you have at least one pot to piss in, you're better off than the first guy and you yourself would have something to be thankful for.

@DRUMZ you seem like a complex man who confounds himself by overthinking things.

Step back and smell that morning coffee; life is good or at least as good as you perceive it to be. If you think your life sucks, then it sucks, but if you think your life is good, that's exactly what you'll get. Your day starts out with a thought, so make those thoughts count!
