One of my cats were beating it up in the driveway until I took it away from him, he's recovering in an improvised home in the garage, here's a pic of one from a couple years ago.

I think it must have had a crash landing in the maple tree out front for Willy to find it out front there, it's hurt pretty bad but it's eating and drinking (and pooping), but stays in the dish towel home and sleeps, I haven't seen it out during the day, it's been three days now and I think he's going to survive whatever injuries he has.

Eating and drinking is a good sign. Are you going to release him when he recovers or let him stick around?

They come here like clockwork for their sunflower seeds, peanuts, and peanut butter on the side of the tree for the last ten years or so, I'm letting him go as soon as he's ready to, but he can stick around the garage if he wants, flying squirrels are really docile, I can touch them and not get bitten by them, it's up to him.

The way he acts I think he may have broken bones, so if he can't make it on his own, I'll build a little house on the side of the maple tree in the back yard for him.
