Sounds like fun :) But, around here, it just isn't going to work...they have 3 minute exposure warnings in effect  Facepalm

Your gazitti's might freeze together! Yeah3

I played around and made a couple candles .

My can of preference was of course a beer can.

I cut the can in two then fill the bottom half way up with vegetable oil and inserted the top of the can into the bottom interior of the can .

Instead of store-bought I made my own wick.  (You must use 100% cotton for it)  I cut a patch out of white T-shirt and sized it to about an inch longer than the top of the can .

After that I rolled it until it was about the diameter of a pencil .  Then I bound with stripped bread ties so it wouldn’t unravel.

Then I waited until the wicked effect brought the fuel to the top of the wick and lit it .

Similar to the old oil lamps the wick can be adjusted by moving the top section of the can up and down.

P.S

I like the snow too.  One thing I enjoy quite a bit. Is right after the snow has fallen and the municipality hasn’t gotten it under control .

I hop in my old ford courier pickup.  It’s a mini truck that only has one wheel drive  but for some reason is amazing in the snow .

Then for I go out to see if it will make it up  snow-covered the hills .

Snow is a lot more  fun to play in if you’re seated in the cab of a heated pick up truck .  Chuckle
.

Fucking Darwin style dumbass.
Doh!

You're always so hard on yourself. I wish you wouldn't. Stuff like that can happen to anybody.
We'd have frozen to death if we'd had to depend on the ones I made. No heat. AT all.

I hope the power stays on!
I tried making one of those flowerpot heaters last night to test out an option B, and nearly toasted my house! Too much excitement for one evening.

I did not expect it to be so efficient the parrifin would get to critical flash temperature. Fuck me I feel stupid. I have a brick sitting on the table...why did I not put it on there for testing?
Don't be a dumb ass like me.

Also, keep your hummer feeders clear of snow. Cycle one of them them inside every few hours to prevent freezing. Put them inside overnight, and put them out near sunrise.
Much love all. Be safe not sorry.

Welcome to Kanaduh - 20c here tonight and 90km winds... conversion = Dam Cold!

Them burners need an exhaust for the fumes and shit, wiser next time k?
Fuck That Shit!

Thank you, my friend.
Hard, so I will remember how important it is to think it well through.
