Cabinets go up tomorrow. Then I can finish putting up the big vines. I have some boring old church stuff, armoire, desk.

I’m going to have to paint them and make them gorgeous. Mr Foss offered to make some Lasercut wooden appliqués to add to them.

daydream That is so beautiful. You've got a knack for this  Cheer

Thanks Sweetie! I used to seriously think I had no artistic or creative talent. My mom and her side of the family are true artists. They can draw! Like crazy good. I used to try to draw and it was awful but drawing involves techniques and I didn’t know that.

They told me I wasn’t talented, didn’t have the ability so I stayed away from any kind of art. Until a couple of years ago, I made my first sheetrock mud painting. Lmao I was hooked and i’m still trying to find my niche.

Anyone can be creative or you can copy stuff off of the net like I do Yeah3 Chuckle
Some peeps give stp by step tutorials. I love those!

I thought salt dough might work really well for this

Mr Foss did quite a lot of work and heavy lifting.... I may have to do the mushroom thing tomorrow.
Wink plus TWD is on. Chuckle

Let me start by saying great job!

I don’t know what I’m talking about but what the hell..... how about making mushrooms out of clear silicone from a tube and putting an LED in them, attach them to a small log and hot glue some Spanish moss to it. Next maybe run some fairy lights through the limbs on the ceiling, it won’t look like fire flies but maybe stars? Then maybe some material hanging from the corners of the room to help knock out any echo and soften the room, to many hard edges? How about if the budget can hold it, a pair of Bose bookshelf speakers to play ambient sounds?

Well.... I’m off to have another drink, TTFN

All good suggestions!  Yeah3  Im gonna make a trip to hob lob and get some ivy vine to wrap around some of it and something to hangdown around the edges by the walls.

I dont have a mushroom mold..... but you gave me a good idea! Thank you!
This one tiny atring of acorn lights is not enough! Lol   They’re so small I have to put on my readers to see them

My favorite ambient sound is blackbirds. They tricked me into thinking there was running water in my yard like a little stream. I was baffled but only for a moment. Silly birds! I just love them.

I’m going to have to add some fancy trim, to my desk, just a few little pieces here and there. I wish I wasnt scared to use the big tools, we have a table router and a metal box with all sorts of lovely bits but the noise and the vibration and my known carelessness scares me too bad!  I will lop something off, give me enough time.  I don’t mean to be careless, I just get distracted easily.

When I cut rocks or fossils with the wet saw, I almost need a valium after.

But I want to do this to my desk, it’s woodsy. Heartflowers

I like this for the cabinets  and these are all such easy no fail paint techniques that look terribly difficult but they’re not at all.

So I guess the armoire gets the chalk paint.

I love this Tree of Life, Mr Foss lasered it onto a denim purse for me and it is so hippy!

I’m m going to have him cut out a bunch for me and use them on some of the furniture,
Or maybe one of these?
