The vast majority of runs in the latest ensemble coming from the European model folks have it hitting between SC and south Jersey

What concerns me most is not where it will land but if it stalls right near the coast like some models are predicting.

That's a huge problem.

NYC here. This could never be as bad as Sandy was!
NJ coast and Staten Island where I live were devastated!
☯ * 02/05/2019 In Memory of our Little ChiChi: At 12:10 pm today Monday, our Little ChiChi went on to see her other friends and family who passed on before her. We are so saddened and heartbroken but realize this was more merciful than making her suffer. Tonight will be the first night we will be sleeping without her. ~cm ✡

NCEP Integrated Water Vapor Transport (IVT) and Integrated Water Vapor (IWV) Analyses and Forecasts
http://cw3e.ucsd.edu/ivt_iwv_natlantic/

Spacebar for play.
Mobile devices tap each time interval for progress of the forecast analysis.

Vapor model shows heavy precipitation to track up the coast and linger past 180 hours from now.

Still early for accurate predictions.
If I lived in the potential path I would anticipate and prepare for significant flooding, in a measured response to its approach, category and direction.
And be relieved if it stayed way offshore.

The GFS (American model) I saw yesterday had it hugging the Jersey coast up to NYC before it curved east and crossed LI.
