I mix about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of Himalayan salt completely into distilled water and let that bitch run all flu season. It doesn't bother my five Yorkies as the essential oils do and it keeps everyone's lungs clear all winter long.

That is a great idea. Never thought of doing salt in our diffuser plus it would add moisture to the air. We have a wood stove so things get dry in the house.

Place a pot of water on your wood stove to put moisture back into the dry air.

If you use a diffuser, it should be an ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser if you're using salt. Just use the same one I use. Trust me, you'll love it. Just dont overfill it.

I just bought this Cool Mist Humidifier from Amazon. I'm gonna run 1.5 cups of 3%
Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide diluted in one gallon of distilled water to keep the
air disinfected. I wanna see how this one works before buying a few others.

@Lily, you can do the Himalayan Salt in this instead of the hydrogen peroxide if
you'd like. This looks much more powerful than the diffuser.

I have one as well, and when I want to chill I turn it on and play the song "Amber is the color of your energy" by 311.
