This is the 'Reaver Cleaver" from Zombie Tools...it is a highly well made weapon

but it weighs 3 pounds 10 ounces

https://www.zombietools.net/shop/reaver-cleaver-2/

this is an awesome looking legal weapon...but it is not the smartest blade you can own

here is the Italian long sword.....

https://www.coldsteel.com/products/sword...sword.html $470 bucks

the offhand dagger......

https://www.coldsteel.com/products/fixed...agger.html

meh they add up to less than a grand....I forgot

but it is around 600 bucks

wow...I can't post this

the point was

the long sword with a dagger offhand is the most lethal combination ever

yes...more lethal than a katana and all the other fantasy stories

the italian longsword plus dagger off hand killed more people than smallpox

Knifes are to up close and personal for me. I would hate to be in a knife fight.

well I agree, I wouldn't want to be that close when splitting the skull of a zombie (liberal)

but

these are not wall hanger weapons I have highlighted....

these are real weapons.....these are made of weapon grade steel and not pot metal

everone needs to think this through

when tshtf.....are you ging to blow down all of your ammunition or are you going to preserve it?

having good hand to hand weapons is paramount to ballistic preservation

you don't want to use your firepower until you have to

ballistae, trebuchet and scorpions are also options

gunpowder and bullets may be obsolete in a shtf scenario...eventually

gong to lay siege to a armored city with slingshots? nope

be educated about the past and how they did it.....

Zombie tools and cold steel sell real, functional weapons

these are not wall hangers...these are competition grade, ready to fight weapons

you should have some as a last resort...don't be a victim without a fight

do you want to tell your kids...."sorry honey, daddy doesn't have a real hand to hand weapon to fight with so you are going to die"

be a man...get a real weapon....and learn the fundamentals of using it....Lucern hammer is an awesome weapon if you know how to use it

get a weapon you can use....when it is all down...it might be the one thing that saves a community...or your family

When I was a teenager, I built a ballista using a long leaf spring from an old truck for the bow.
We used a come-along to cock it, and the trigger mechanism was copied from a book I have on Roman weapons.
It would sling a bolt made from a broomstick with leather fletchings and a foot long steel point about 400 yards.
Pretty accurate, too.
Ah, the good old days!
