when we got the bill yesterday, comcrap proudly announced they were going to raise its rates on many services. means more money in their bottemless pockets.

They are some greedy SOB's. I just have internet, 39.99/month for 250 Mbps. Blast or something they call it.

Do you have TV? All I have is internet and I had my own equipment.

I've been having problems with my interwebz service since last September. Particularly when streaming video, i.e. Netflix, YouTube.... It gets so bad, I'll have to reset my modem 3-4 times to watch a movie on Netflix. Other times is just fine. You know how you'll get the slow-down during peak times? 1-2 in the afternoon? 5-7 in the evening? Well, it's like that at 2-3 in the a.m.

I've probably had six different techs out here over the months, and no a one of them could figure it out. Finally, this last guy was some sort of tech manager and he gave me this number to call next time it happen. When it did, it was like the middle of the night but I called and they sent a signal to my modum and sure enough, it has something to do with the lines bringing the internet to Cox... Apparently, it is effecting the entire neighborhood but I'm the only one who has complained about it. So my interwebz has been gratis for 3 months now. And it looks like this month too.

After he left I ran a "speed test" and got 125 down, 6 up.  So, looks like the changes he made (several connectors, one at the cable modem, and at least one outside) were effective!

Now I can reinstall the VPN, and "post from Canada."   Lmao
