Gunnies.....

Cross posting is better than cross dressing.
I feel guilty about the picture in my post # 2229. I
would bet the model does not know how to operate
the firearm IRL. Yet, there are cavemen on the Forum
who will not read a post without some click bait.
I was thinking about writing her phone # was in the
link but even I will not go that far to get someone's
attention.

"...cavemen on the forum..."?

Ok, might be a couple out there. But in this thread, you're dealing (for the most part) with people that are very firearms-savvy (both male and female). Not to mention, one of the forum members, "Ironhide", is currently living in Venezuela. He keeps us informed the best he can within the restrictions of their internet. So yeah, we know it's rough down there and that every successful(?) dictator has taken gun rights away from citizens early in the game.

All I'm saying is that in this thread, "clickbait" ain't necessary. Chuckle Gun porn on the other hand is more than acceptable!

A buddy of mine bought one of these...

I think this is the model anyway... it is a SBR that would normally require FFL paperwork, but the barrel is not rifled so it avoids that.

The first I have heard of such a thing, but I've held it and it was delivered without the extra paperwork.

I was completely out of the loop on these. So just in case anyone else shares my ignorance:

My SIG P210 is one of the M1949 Danish contract pistols which was traded in and factory reconditioned. It shoots as well as the current model shown, but lacks the improved safety lever, rear frame beavertail, frame checkering, American-style magazine release, and the unneeded off-hand finger support on the front of the trigger guard. The new beavertail is the only really important refinement IMHO. I get slide bite with too high of a grip on my old M49. All-in-all, my accurized Belgian Browning High Power is probably the better 9 mm for me. It produces all of the accuracy I can make use of.

You can buy an AR pistol that has a brace rather than a stock. This is the 10mm and he gets into the difference right away.

Dangit @PRIME ! How did I know of all people, you had one of these? Chuckle Prolly got it layin' in the same box you pulled that old Mauser out of.

The only point we differ is on the "American" mag release. While much can be said for American designs, the Europeans put out some stellar firearms. I just wish Walther (P-38) and Makarov had adopted the same mag release back then.

Since most tactical trainers teach "ripping" the old mag out using the off hand, the "European" style mag catch is fine for that. The one on the SIG Neuhausen P210-DK is easier to use than most. Did you ever try a one-hand mag change on a gun where the mag does not drop free with the slide locked back? The Euro-style mag catch might be better for that while holding the slide under your arm.
