Gun owners stockpile ammo before new California background check law begins
#11
I probably will never buy ammo in California again, but every time I drive to Nevada, I can legally bring back 50 rounds.

This is a tough one. Into the realm of the 10th Amendment (for
those that still respect it). I had the honor of living in Illinois.
You had to have a FOID card to purchase/own firearms and ammo.
Been that way for years. The Illinois State Rifle Association is a
tough bunch and even they have made no headway in the court
system.
When I lived in the People's Republic of Minnesota, I had to
show my I.D. and they would copy into a giant log whenever I
purchased ammo. State Law at the time.

Reading it...it says, they will need DL pic and check your name in a data base....for an extra fee of .....$1. I hate it, but its not that bad. But I get the whole boiling frog......maybe this will keep bullets out of illegal hands? hahah wishful thinking.

It's kind of a covert way for the state to keep tabs on what guns you have through the bullets you buy. When and if they confiscate guns, they can use the ammo purchase record.

Sure couldn't blame you! I loved the many years I spent in and around San Diego. The last time I was out there was for SERE school at North Island & Warner Springs. It was no longer the same.

Now, my biggest fear is that the rest of the country will follow their lead in anti-gun legislation. The day may come that we'll be stockpiling brass, powder, and primers to make our own ammo. Before even that's taken from us.

That's why we need everyone's support in fighting this...

Someone who may or may not be me has ordered 1000s of rounds online and had them sitting on the porch in a few days.

I bitch about living here sometimes but it's not so bad.

Or PDJT could sign an EO rescinding every anti-gun law back to and including GCA '68. Yeah, I know...

How do we get his attention on this matter?
