No Lagerfield boutique frames for this hombre.. They are all hideous.

I call them my birth control glasses.

Lmao

I can't speak for Blue but I don't have to have designer frames, I just happened upon some Michael Kors frames I liked and said screw it I deserve to get what I want. $230 is still a lot but it's the lenses that make glasses insanely expensive at those places. I had to get the anti-glare and scratch resist stuff because the last pair I had did not have it and the glare drove me batshit crazy. On top of all the bells whistles I had this eye mapping thing done and a few other tests which drove the price up. I don't visit yearly like I should like most people do so I wear the same pair for a few years and that justifies the cost in my opinion. I know people who spend $200 or more yearly. My eye exams are free.

Lucy gave me a cool site to check out so I'm gonna do that when it's time to get new glasses.

Chuckle  Birth control glasses.

I like simple but stylish things, and it doesn’t always have to be a label, although I do mostly wear designer clothes that cost a lot.  Chuckle buuuuuuuutttt, I do find great white shirts at that Japanese store Muji, for like $30 each. So when I can be a cheap ass, I am. These glasses were the same.. all these cheap places have these designer names added to them, you know, it’s not like Karl’s team made them. They were $99 each pair.. here they are.

I'm with you Blue.
I can't stand low end poor quality clothing.
They don't fit well and so they're uncomfortable and they fall apart.
I would rather pay more and have something that looks and feels good and will last for years.
There are a few exceptions, inexpensive brands that are alright but for the most part... nope.

I was thinking, if one were to get one's attire at GoodWill, that stuff will have been proven not to fall apart because it will have lasted so long already.

I found a gorgeous turquoise Barney's New York handbag at GoodWill for $6.99 in perfect condition.

I was just thinking, one of the ladies needs to create a general chat type thread for when people are in the mood to post random comments. We have the C&B thread of course, but I'd hate to muddy up DaJ's methods with too much chatter.

It seems here that people end up chatting on some obscure, dying thread for some reason lol.

This thread needed a major derail. welcome to the fringe..
