Personally, I rarely ever go to a Walmart. I just can't stand the vibe and the overflow of cheap crap that I'll have to replace in less than a year.

Bad energy is what keeps me out. He should take them to court for discrimination . He's a legal gun owner, maybe someone would take his case?

David Amad, the vice president of Open Carry Texas, told The New York Times the 38,000 members of his group have openly carried their guns inside Walmart stores since the retailer announced last week it is “respectfully requesting” customers to no longer openly bring guns into its stores.

He said none of the members who have done so have been asked to leave.

“They are ducking the issue,” Amad told the Times. “They are trying to get the gun haters to leave them alone, while at the same time leave us alone when we carry in their stores.”

Walmart spokesperson Lorenzo Lopez told the Times that company employees are instructed not to obstruct peaceful shoppers from openly carrying guns. But he said stores should call law enforcement if an employee or customer feel unsafe.

The trouble is that wearing a red baseball cap apparently makes people feel unsafe.

Yes, so instead of more gun legislation we simply need more resources available for counseling and treatment of the mental disorders of the snowflake crowd. daydream

I got $10 that says because of this issue, Walmart starts or causes the next recession!!

I don’t have a concealed carry permit as I believe that having to pay my sheriffs office $100’s of dollars is “infringement “ of my rights to bear arms. But I still do carry concealed a lot of the time!

I got my "permit" spent $400 on it then the state changed the law so you don't need one. I can buy a firearm flash my permit and walk out without a background check. I keep renewing it every 5 years

We might or might not be surprised at how many CCW without a permit.

But regardless, WM has taken the position that they don't want customers to open carry in their stores. AFAIK, they have no problem with CCW. And with the right holster, the only way Sherry Sheep knows you're carrying is if you tell her or it inadvertantly becomes visible. And that's your responsibility to keep it hidden!

To me, open carry is akin to strappin' up and admiring yourself in the mirror. That's the kind of person that pays X hundreds of $$$ for a handgun then $11 for the holster, much less learn/practice weapons retention techniques.

I'm as staunch a supporter of the 2ndA as anyone here. But if you choose to stand up for "muh rights" in the manner that this guy did, we'll all lose. Just remember what they (should've) taught you in the pre-permit class. "Carrying a weapon is a responsibility bordering a liability."

Is there some law that says you have to sign a contract for life with walmart for ANYTHING?

I wouldn't have signed that paper.

What would they do, make me?
