"we decided"?

Who got a say in it exactly?

I guess silence is consent

I have always preferred kicking and screaming.

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately.
Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something.
They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful,
so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better
not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."

Well those people who cared in 2008, tried to have a say. About 95% of the people who faxed, emailed or called their reps to vote against tarp were ignored.

And then there was that closed door session of congress in 2008, of which no one has discovered what they talked about. I guess Brad Sherman implied they threatened congress with martial law if they didn't vote to bail out the banks.

I wonder what they'll threaten us with this time?

1dunno1 That would've been more than what people did when they announced the billion dollar bailout.
