He was a smart little kid, just wanted to sit next to his friend so they could talk while playing shootemup.

But it's been difficult to get a machine at the libraries here lately.

I was shelling out at least $130/month for internet and basic phone service(until I got a smart meter had to disconnect power and go solar.

A lot of people can't afford internet anymore.

Prices for that should GO DOWN, not up.

Yeah our Internet keeps going down, have had a tech out here last week and this week; still happening.  Sucks about the smart meter!  We're thinking of going off-grid ourselves.

Agree, prices should be going down.  Automation helps reduce costs.  I regularly wonder whether we'd have achieved this level of automation, if not for "the squeeze" that the Federal Reserve puts on everyone due to the inherent inflation in over-printing money.

In other words -- through their aggressive attempt to own the world's money -- they've made us more efficient.  And better able to fight back at their squid-like grasp.  I find that really neat, in an epic Greek tragedy sense; their pride/hubris/greed leads to their downfall.

I blame the FCC, and the FTC for the expensive telecom.

They should not allow telecoms to bundle packages.

When I was married we had cox internet and cable tv.

After the divorce I spent a day checking over the cable service, and there wasn't anything on there I wanted to watch so I cancelled the TV service.

Bill should have gone down right?

POTS phone line at my grandma's with local calls only is about $66/month.

Should be more like $20.

But hey they need the money, gonna cost $$$$ to put 5g people zappers everywhere!

I see them running the fiber optic cables around town. Will they let you connect to those?

Nope gotta connect to the WIFI those are connected to.

Have you thought of giving up smoking?

Orwell understood that when men are deceived by false prophets, when they close their minds to reason, they do so voluntarily.
Our leaders may lie to us, but we do not become unfree until we begin lying to ourselves.

Oh yeah.

But I still need to leave the library from time to time because of the WIFI.

Especially when somebody sits next to me and starts using their dunce fone.

You're already on the internet, why do you have to do that too?

Did you tell people that the Greeks took in around 1.3 million refugees from Armenia, that's a lot of people for the Greeks to accommodate, and that's a lot of youth too.

Will Turkey give back Armenia to the Armenians, Turkey doesn't even recognise the genocide of Armenian's.

The last time I was in Greece, I met a former Armenian priest, he was heartbroken over what happened to Armenia and it's people.

So now Greece doesn't only carry the burden of it's own people, it carries the Armenian people too. At the same time as having it's tourism slashed by 50% when Greece went into the EURO. Germany made many promises to European countries didn't they, Greece should've known better than to trust a country that tried to destroy them in WW2. As I understand it, Greece was infiltrated, but Greece will overcome, they always have, and always will.

I was listening to some defiant Greeks the other day and a woman said that if Greece goes down, they will take over countries with them and it includes Australia.

I have travelled to many countries in the world during my life.

However, I have to say that the Greek elders in Greece and Australia were the most humble people, and the Greek people are very welcoming. They are people that listen to truth and take it on board. Truly, Plato style.

Europeans have been far too tolerant, and our tolerance was taken for granted, our love was taken for granted, our freedoms were taken for granted.

Now Europeans really have had enough. Europe arises to defend itself, it's unique cultures and peoples.
