I always add a layer of paper and then mulch around my garden. During the season, this breaks down and feeds the soil, and the earthworms love it. For the few unwanted plants that spring up here and there -- if they are not useful herbs then they are relegated to the compost pile where they break down and ultimately feed the soil again. Gardening doesn't have to be hard if you just understand the process.

Don't let big agri-chemicals anywhere near your yard or garden.

You may well end up eating that when the shtf.

Good video. I noticed they used red mulch in one part. The bright red mulch should not be used in gardens because it is dyed and is said the be toxic. Colored brown and red mulch is okay in flower gardens but should nowhere near anything you eat.

I thought it was wood chips, I've got loads of wood chips that I bought last year.

With my small trees and shrubs etc, last year I covered the base of the plants with sawdust, the rabbit hutch stuff to keep them warm and protected, then I put the wood chips on top of that. They did great in their containers during the winter.
Liberate the power of love within and it is so powerful, it is a key to life. A life redeemed is a life in the hands of the Lord, the voice that said, "You are safe". Every morning he brings his word of unfailing love, he leads the redeemed, in strength he guides the redeemed to his holy dwelling.

I hate that stupid red mulch. Looks so tacky. I like the natural look so I use pine bark chunks.
