Quote:Scientists suggest authoritarian attitudes may be partly rooted in biological urge to avoid catching diseases from unfamiliar people.

People who have a greater tendency to turn their nose up at the whiff of urine, sweat and other body odours are more likely to have rightwing authoritarian attitudes, research suggests.

The study also found having a greater disgust for body odours was linked, albeit to a small degree, with support for Donald Trump when he was a presidential candidate.

This is a great example of misleading fake bias.

'Right Wing' people are the opposite of people with 'Authoritarian' views.

'Right Wing' people want a smaller, less powerful, decentralized government where people are free from state intrusion.

'Left Wing' people believe in a massive all-powerful government that regulates and dictates what individuals do, and believe that individuals must be forced by an authoritarian central government to cede to the greater good.

I think I'll go open an expensive bottle of 50/50 (antifreeze) and take a shower in it...oh wait the water is already there...

But illegal immigrants carry more than just smelly armpits...so the article would've had it right had they said that people that dislike illegal immigrants carrying diseases across the border would've more likely been a right winger.

You look at the news---strikes, bombings, muggings--and sometimes you wonder, maybe the Indians should've had stricter immigration laws.
