Bill Whittle with Scott Ott

In the wake of mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, as Republicans move toward backing a national "red flag" law to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, Bill Whittle Now asks "who decides?" What if the new law targets you, and the federal government comes to take your guns away? Before your representative votes, he should watch this video.

I believe these red flag laws will become out laws in themselves ... Watch your back anyone can " Not like you "
The dilemma remains, who decides that an individual is unhinged enough to do bodily harm to others? Family members? School administrators? Police? A hastily assembled board of psychiatrists? ( psychiatrists have a higher rate of suicide (58 to 65/100,000) than the general population (11/100,000) so they don't have their heads screwed on too tight)

Taking their guns will not fix the person.
If they are intent on harming others, they have a readily available weapon in their driveway, or in their kitchen, or they know where they can steal a gun.

Some way there has to be a way to fix the person, or legally remove them from the general population for a reasonable length of time.

I don’t know every states laws, however, most states have a law to the effect of if you know someone is off the rails, you go to the magistrate, sign a petition to have them involuntary committed! We call that a 72hrs hold. That in it self will allow firearm confiscation! Within that 72hrs, they must put you in front of a judge for either release or hold! And then it’s in the courts hands!

Same as red flag laws?!?
