Members of Congress allegedly sexually harassed night shift staff: report

Members of Congress allegedly sexually harassed night shift custodial staff as they cleaned their offices, according to a recent inspector general’s report on sexual harassment within the Architect of the Capitol.

The IG report, first reported by Roll Call, examines the Architect of the Capitol’s (AOC) response to sexual harassment complaints over the last 10 years. It includes allegations that workers endured sexual harassment by members of Congress and their staff,

It found 57 incidents of sexual harassment reported since 2008, 44 percent of which it says were substantiated. The report notes that it is a relatively low number, Scratchinghead but the perception remains that harassment is a problem. 1dunno1

The 53-page report includes data on sexual harassment cases within the agency between October 2008 and October 2018.

Some jurisdictions within the agency refused to cooperate with the OIG probe.

The report states, for example, that the Human Capital Management Division’s refusal to provide details “left the OIG unable to determine the nature of many of the complaints,” because many were described vaguely as “sexual harassment, inappropriate remarks or inappropriate touching.”

My problem with this slush fund...supposedly names will be revealed, but I doubt it will happen. And it is admitted that we, the tax payers payed the fees to those that pressed charges. THIS part needs to be addressed yesterday!! Let the varmits pay out of their own friggin pockets, quit forcing us to pay for them!!
