China, two top war planners warned last week. “In our games, when we fight Russia and China, blue gets its ass handed to it" RAND analyst David Ochmanek said Thursday.

RAND's wargames show how US Armed Forces - colored blue on wargame maps - experience the most substantial losses in one scenario after another and still can't thwart Russia or China - which predictably is red - from accomplishing their objectives: annihilating Western forces.

"We lose a lot of people. We lose a lot of equipment. We usually fail to achieve our objective of preventing aggression by the adversary," he warned.

In the next military conflict, which some believe may come as soon as the mid-2020s, all five battlefield domains: land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace, will be heavily contested, suggesting the U.S. could have a difficult time in achieving superiority as it has in prior conflicts.

I don’t want to talk bad about my brothers and sisters in arms but......... some of the stuff I hear from soldiers talking about the new boots just make me shake my head. That’s all I’ll say about it.

Does Sun Tzu ring a bell?
Just click bait . Nothing is known about how the scenarios were set up. Were they worst case scenario’s? Did they include any NATO allies or allies in Asia. Was there a military buildup noticed or was it a surprise attack which would mean a complete failure of intelligence. They said the F 35’s dominated the sky when they got off the ground . So what happens if in real time the F 35’s get off the ground first?

The games only seem to be carried out in the Baltics and Taiwan. No one in the US military thought for a second we could hold onto those in the event of a World War III type shooting war.

The only thing that is certain. Is that the US military will receive more money because of this .

Does Sun Tzu ring a bell?

I was literally laughed out of the T.O.C when I brought up Sun Tzu, and even Hannibal.

Nope, they have their "modern" planning and strategy, and it sucks.

Not sure why you used quotations? His strategy has been used by military’s since the book was written and will be used for thousands of years in the future .

He laid down the basic principles for warfare and he hit the nail on the head. But you can’t charge tanks with horses ( ask the Poles) and you can’t shoot down jets with the arrows. Everything needs to evolve and adapt .

He said that himself .

“So a military force has no constant formation, water has no constant shape: the ability to gain victory by changing and adapting according to the opponent is called genius”
Sun Tzu,
The best war is the one you win off the battlefield.
Armies are a mere component. Strategists are thinking globally and generationally..at least the good ones are.
I think NATO needs to take care of the thousands of new imported (fighting age male) Europeans before they worry about the Ruskies and Bug men. It's a bit like someone bitching about weeds and pests in the field but their house is on fire. End up sleeping in the barn still crying about the deer's and birds don't respect the fence with holes in it they won't repair.

Holy shit, I didn't even need to run a simulation, I can tell by their new nukes that they have made that can be here in 5 minutes. I doubt we can even get a shot off now before we are nuked. Do you think Trump will be able to arm the nuclear football and get the codes in before that happens? Lmao
I notice there is silence in the mainstream media about how we are screwed now if there is a war. I think Trump gave orders to develop new missiles. Hope they can work fast!
you forgot put the burger down.... Chuckle
