ONALASKA, Texas — Onalaska, Texas, has a secret.

Nestled along the piney shores of an East Texas lake, Onalaska lacks an airport.

A WFAA review, however, has found more than 1,000 registered aircraft claiming an Onalaska address. That’s equivalent to one plane for every three Onalaska residents, which is more per capita than anywhere else in the country.

In fact, more planes are registered to Onalaska than the number of registered planes in entire cities such as Seattle, San Antonio, San Diego, or even New York.

Just as surprising, the aircraft are registered to only two Onalaska P.O. boxes. That’s because the aircraft owners do not live there. Not even close.

WFAA has learned Onalaska is ground zero for a practice that allows foreigners to anonymously register their planes, and one that critics say makes the United States an easy target for drug dealers, terrorists and other criminals seeking to register their planes.

WOW!
CIA?

John
Wow, that is not far from me!

I have been to Huntsville, Livingston...pretty much all the little towns up that way, and I have never heard of Onalaska, TX.

Looks like cartel planes...which makes sense since The Woodlands, TX is crawling with uber wealthy cartel wives.
Damn, that's a bit frightening.

American citizen, prove who you are, give a urine sample, and three eye-witnesses you did not cooperate with Kavanaugh just to fill out paperwork to register a plane.

Foreign anonymous citizen, here's your register! Have a good day!

They do that with car buying, home buying, land purchases, leasing/renting, boat purchases, drivers license in some states, medical treatment in offices/hospitals:

"Oh, you're an illegal, but you have cash? Here, just come on in special person, buy what you want, take what you like, and don't worry about it!"

"Oh, you're an American citizen, fill out all these forms, prove you are a citizen, submit your tax filings, make sure your social security number is listed everywhere, bring ID in triplicate, and get in the back of the line you pos!"

That's what it feels like anyway.

A co-worker of mine gave her CA sister in law the best analogy as to why immigration needs to be controlled:

She said, "we buy $100 tickets to Disney...stand in line at a ride for hours...only for the park to announce that they are letting in a bunch of people for free and putting them in the front of the line!" She said, "this is how it feels to the immigrant that did it all the right way, filed paperwork, worked hard, followed rules, paid loads of money...meanwhile, everyone else gets in for free while peeing on the American Flag."

That's how this illegal airplane field is...they are catering to illegals.
Well . . . . about time to know I suppose .

Good chance it's being confused with Unalaska which may certainly have that number of aircraft.

You mean Unalaska, Alaska?

Do you feel the reporters or the people of Onalaska, TX were confused?
