The Hill Twitter suspends account...

Twitter suspends account that helped incident with Native American man go viral

"According to a cached version of the video seen by CNN, the post garnered at least 2.5 million views and at least 14,400 retweets. The network notes that the partial video of the incident had been previously posted on Instagram, but that the caption from @2020fight helped promote it to widespread attention.

@2020fight claims to belong to a California schoolteacher. However its profile photo is of a blogger based in Brazil, according to CNN, which noted that Twitter's guidelines explicitly prohibit "fake and misleading accounts."

"Deliberate attempts to manipulate the public conversation on Twitter by using misleading account information is a violation of the Twitter Rules," a Twitter spokesperson told The Hill."

I don't think our current corrupt court system and tainted jury pool would come remotely close to doing that.

Wish there was another way.
Here's an article that could also be mentioning 'things to come' for Twitter. (Too bad this wasn't somehow applied to the msm placing false articles in the news, now on almost a 'regular basis'. And, this could be the 'means' for quite large lawsuits, but holding the Twitter retweeter 'accountable'. Don't think this is the best answer to what's going on with 'false statements' being made, but at least it targets the 'sender' initially; then, the resenders. Sounds more like a way to drive people away from social media, unless they just want to post pics of their dogs and cats. At least the story has gotten the attention it needs to get. Just ask Joy Reid: (It's a little long to post here.)

The Native American who mocked teens in MAGA hats, turns out he's a con artist hired by Soros. https://t.co/YFn54vyQv9 Jan 22, 2019 4:42 PM

I don't understand...why does your link take me to a twitter account praising this guy through the CNN video from 1/19?

It really just made me very angry again.

The one thing I got from the video is that the asshole actually did say he was a VIETNAM VETERAN. (Not ERA, but the actual phrase).

I really need to see his DD214 now.

I was wondering the same thing...the commentors on that tweet said that the video on there has to be fake news.

Him being a Vietnam Vet...apparently that's a lie too...

Ah, okay, this is the tweet :

https://twitter.com/Uncle_Jimbo/status/1...lie-too%2F

Jim Hanson

@Uncle_Jimbo

#NathanPhillips was lionized as an elder & Marine Vietnam vet

But the math on his service seems off. He is 64 now so 17 when USMC combat units left Vietnam

How could he have done training & served before that?

“And I’m a Vietnam veteran and I know that mentality of ‘There’s enough of us. We can do this,’” Phillips told CNN.

This guy was fired.

On Monday, the company told the Wrap that Abriss was fired for his comments on social media that were deemed offensive. The journalist has since locked his Twitter account and deleted the tweets.

:)
Posobiek (sp) @ One America News just said that the bar for private individuals to establish libel is much lower than it is for non-private entities.

Let's hope that something comes of this. Meanwhile, strike while the iron is still hot: Contact your Rep(tile)s and S(I)ns and tell them to reinstate Smith Mundt (anti-propaganda legislation) NOW. Those dirty effers need to hear from Patriots by the millions. They need to learn that outrage is a two way street!

It wasn't just the retweeting, it was the retweeting with a purpose to push the lies.

For example, I tagged the attorney in a lot of retweeted posts where they were condemning the students with already proven false info. Then a jerk would come back to me with another seriously edited video pushing the lie and saying horrible things about the kids! I did not react, I just tagged those tweets to the attorney. There were members of that group that was with the lying native american anti-Trump resister who kept stirring things up on twitter.

I bet if we wait long enough we will discover that teacher in California who made the fake twitter account that posted the first tweet will be the professor from Berkley or that high school teacher who has been arrested. All part of Antifa.

I also know that Mr. Phillips will probably be sued for slander which is why he keeps changing his story. There are too many videos proving he was lying.

This will lead right back to Antifa.
