Fuel protests turn violent in Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron continues to face resistance to his reform agenda.

Police fired teared gas and used water cannons Saturday to disperse protestors in Paris who are demonstrating for a second weekend against rising fuel prices.

The so-called “Yellow Jacket” activists, named after the neon vest worn by motorists during roadside emergencies, are calling on French President Emmanuel Macron to step back from planned hike of taxes on gasoline.

While the mass movement focuses on the gas tax, it highlights a broader array of frustrations with Macron. The French president was already struggling with approval scores in the mid-twenties and an underperforming economy before protests began.

Isn't it really the same thing? The people are taxed to the point of collapse to support an ever increasing burden forced on them by a socialist agenda. There are things to be learned here as we look to our own borders.
So theyll burn the town down because gas went up a nickel but theyll cower in a corner as their women are raped and children parents and men are murdered by the invaders.

Maybe if someone told them the invaders caused the price of cheese and baquettes to go up a nickel then theyll do something?
They are protesting that living in a liberal utopia comes at a cost .

Diesel runs about six dollars a gallon .

Burn baby burn
Let that motherfucker burn burn

Why don't these guys put treason charges on all gov officials, be much better than having a civil war.

I think the article in the OP is correct. The rise in fuel taxes was the final straw with the pent up frustrations of the populace coming to the fore.

Once the anger is released it is difficult to put a lid back on to it.

It seems that the EU army has not come in time to quell this.

Radical changes may be in the future even the break-up of mighty Germany.
The BBC called the yellow jacket protesters Far Right because they don’t like Macron...

The BBC are such libtardian cocks.
