Fires that have burned across the state of California for more than a week destroyed hundreds of thousands of acres of land and threatened homes and lives of those in the area. As of Friday, there were 66 deaths confirmed due to the fires and hundreds of other people were missing.

President Donald Trump spoke about the fires during an interview Friday with Fox News’ Chris Wallace a day before he was expected to travel to the state to see the damage himself. Trump summarized in the interview, which airs Sunday on Fox, his thoughts about the fire by saying that if the land had been managed better “you wouldn’t have the fires.”

The president said he had seen the firemen at work and saw them raking under trees near the flames of the fires. Trump said that had the areas around the trees been raked out earlier, there would have been no fire burning.

“Nobody's ever seen what's going on over there,” he said about the record-breaking wildfires. “Burned beyond recognition, they can’t even see the bodies, it’s incredible,” he continued during the interview.

One of the fires, the Camp Fire, was burning north of Sacramento, while the Woolsey Fire was burning west of Los Angeles. As of Friday, the Camp Fire had burned about 142,000 acres and the Woolsey fire about 98,000 acres. Fire officials have said that dry conditions accompanied by strong winds had contributed to how quickly and aggressively the fires were burning.

When Wallace asked Trump what he thought about the argument that climate change may have contributed to the fires Trump said, “Maybe it contributes a little bit. The big problem we have is management.”

“You need forest management, it has to be, I’m not saying that in a negative way.... I’m just saying the facts, and I’ve really learned a lot,” Trump said.
Part of the problem with vast tracts of wilderness that no one is allowed to touch is the fact that they get overgrown.

Just a little spark... a lightning strike, a flint rock falling, a careless cig tossed out of a car window...

When you allow judicious harvesting to clear dead wood and thin things out, you have much better odds of not having that raging forest fire in the dried out areas.

Then of course there's the fact that the area was technically a desert and is now reverting back to that after a time of more rain than they usually get.

Like it or not, it's going back to the way it was and it has nothing to do with 'climate change' as preached by the Cult of the ManBearPig.

Once upon a time, much of the state of California was a barren desert. And now, thanks to the worst drought in modern American history, much of the state is turning back into one. Scientists tell us that the 20th century was the wettest century that the state of California had seen in 1000 years. But now weather patterns are reverting back to historical norms, and California is rapidly running out of water. It is being reported that the state only has approximately a one year supply of water left in the reservoirs, and when the water is all gone there are no contingency plans. Back in early 2014, California Governor Jerry Brown declared a drought emergency for the entire state, but since that time water usage has only dropped by 9 percent. That is not nearly enough. The state of California has been losing more than 12 million acre-feet of total water a year since 2011, and we are quickly heading toward an extremely painful water crisis unlike anything that any of us have ever seen before.

Trump is dropping pyscological hints that he knows something more about the fires.

he keeps blaming for mis management and leaves gives the impression he's got some blood on his hands

someone who keeps blaming someone else for breaking the window might have broken the window themselves

The ignorance of the MSM never ceases to amaze me.
I trust the Guest was showing this. Poor choice of words, terms in PDJT statement.
"The president said he had seen the firemen at work and saw them raking under trees near the flames of the fires. Trump said that had the areas around the trees been raked out earlier, there would have been no fire burning."

Anyone with woodlands on their property knows it must be CLEARED seasonally. Cut, rake and discard dead limbs and trees in the ground, clearing between the healthy ones. If you read the reports, Califorlornia officials have been told by the "huggers" and snowflakes to allow the forests to grow without human manipulations. That is part of the responsibility our Creator gave us. Without the clearings, the woods become a tinderbox.

I hope, Guest, you were trying to show the stupidity of Newsweek's writers and not to insult our intelligence.

Since I truly believe these fires are a result of DEW and nefarious activities of the deep state, to quote a famous stateswoman, "..at this point, what difference does it make?"

But also a classic example of the NPC mind of the hive-libtard and how the propganda exploits it.

Let's break it down logically.

1. Take A quote:
Trump....his thoughts about the fire by saying that if the land had been managed better “you wouldn’t have the fires.”

- Notice the only thing that is actually a quote of Trump. The Libtard's propaganda master just made up this part: if the land had been managed better.

2. Take A quote about something else:
“Nobody's ever seen what's going on over there,” he said about the record-breaking wildfires. “Burned beyond recognition, they can’t even see the bodies, it’s incredible,” he continued during the interview.

The president said he had seen the firemen at work and saw them raking under trees near the flames of the fires. Trump said that had the areas around the trees been raked out earlier, there would have been no fire burning.

-Notice that the entire second clause of the syllogism is not an actual quote of the President, it's a characterization of something, but for some reason, the report IS NOT QUOTING the president's actual words.

3. The Libtard gets his fix:
Trump blames people not raking leaves on California wild fires

<Repeat Code> Orangeman is bad
< Code> Orangeman says that a problem is bad management of forests.
<Code> Orangeman sees fireman raking leaves.
<Code> Orengeman just said, not raking leaves causes fires.
</Repeat Code>

The mind of the libtard.
"Guest" is a moron who didn't read the article he posted nor did he express the heart of the article in the thread title. "Guest" needs much better bait material for The Fringe.
Another dumbfuck shareblue thread.

No where does it say Trump blames people for not raking leaves.

He said there's a problem with "management."

President Trump is talking about forest management and the millions of dead trees from the bark beetle. There's water management problems during drought. There's massive homeless problems. A few of those have started fires here last year.

On and on, CA HAS MAJOR STATE GOVERNMENT MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS, and butt fucking David Brock dipshits can't think past mommy's chores that force them out of the basement.

Really getting tired of this crap allowed here. Might as well go back to GLP.

We don't allow many of these Shareblue troll threads to stand. Sometimes, it's just fun to eat a troll and show the little skags how idiotic they really are.
