This is my last post on this subject, I hope, but I really think 'we' will be ostracizing and looking like fools if we pursue
the 'infanticide' angle. Really. I know I won't get warm fuzzies from any of you, but going off the deep end is hurting our cause, IMO.
Have SOME faith in your fellow human, the mothers, and such.
I know of a couple who had a baby with the organs on the outside....to choose to keep that baby alive (which they did)
is a complete life-changing commitment to poverty, slavery, the medical system, etc..
Horrible situation, and I don't know how the long term went, but it is unreasonable, again, IMO, to ask the system, the family,
or whomever, to sustain a child that would, in nature, have died.
It is one of the perils of our modern miraculous medical system......we keep beings alive that cost the involved (be it the parents,
the taxpayers, or others) incredible amounts of life force, for what quality of life?
I am NOT suggesting doing away with viable infants, but are we SO jaded that we really think someone would kill a healthy baby?
I am first to admit in this bizarre world that it IS possible, but I am thinking the pendulum is swinging a little far, ATM.
